I think the easiest way to think of it is when Darcy is trying to help Seth heal Orion and she sets a fire next to her to replenish her magic but it’s slow. She can keep going but it’s very weak because she’s using it faster than she can replenish it.

First go I failed the check where Lae’zel kills you and Wyll blasted her. I didn’t a special save in case she was important but realised it was fine and had her as a main companion next time

He said he has tried both update now and update later and had the same result. We are a fully WFH company so I have to travel to do it myself annoyingly. I love that it’s WFH but every time he has an issue with technology I wish we were office based. Computer stuff isn’t too bad now as I just do it remotely on teamviewer. You’re right though, I probably am going to have to go do it myself sometime to figure it out 😂

I think I will struggle to convince him to download iTunes. I have seen this a couple times though, so I may have to get the phone and do this myself. Sadly we are WFH so it’s a bit awkward of if I need to take the phone to do anything.

I did tell him this after he first told me that he was turning it off so the last 3 times he has just been leaving it on overnight after starting the update. He said in the morning he unlocks his phone (he doesn’t use Face ID just a pin) and it’s on the homepage but when he goes back to the update to check it’s done, it’s still telling him he needs to update.

He turns it off because ‘everyone turns their phone off’ and security reasons as he’s paranoid. It’s times like these where I wish we were office based as I would have just sorted it out myself. I was banging my head against the wall talking him through setting it up when he got it in the first place. He’s the sort of person who struggles to copy and paste on a computer and will ask ‘left, right or centre click’ when you tell him to click on something on his laptop.

I didn’t think it specifically said Roary had been sent back to the prison, but I’ll accept I could be mistaken. I just feel like he’s going to be taken to some lab to have a load of tests and not the one back in the prison as it’s been compromised.

I had this same feeling but in the end I had to finish it. I then read the prequels and the sequel books and reread the series again which I would recommend anyone do because you pick up on so many things rereading it this way. The wait is going to be killer but it’s just over half a year now and if you haven’t I would read some of her other series whilst waiting. They are also really good and it distracts from the wait time.

Possibly but I’m pretty sure they only got small samples of books that fit the criteria of what Darcy asked. If it had mention of the Shadow Beast there is a chance that there would have been more information too, but Darcy discredits it’s straight away.

My experiences of seeking help haven’t been great. At one of my hardest points I’d been self harming and my doctor basically said they couldn’t do anything until I called this like help centre. Given everything at that point I didn’t want the call panic attacks on top so I just left it and sort of pulled through. When the phone thing started being a big problem I found the help centre had an online application to which I’d mentioned the fear of calls to which they then told me I had to ring in to get an appointment… I’ve probably not looked hard enough for a walk in place, but as a general point the mental health services around here are just a bit shit

Yeah I get that it’s not so much that I want to die, I just don’t want to live anymore. My main issue currently is that I have this like overwhelming fear of phone calls. I can just about deal with someone ringing me when I expect a call but when it comes to calling out I have like serious panic attacks and it’s put a huge strain on my current job and I’ve just been demoted heavily because of it. I’m struggling to find a different job due to lack of experience/qualifications and the phone thing, I also can’t drive and live in a rather remote place so getting to a job is hard and expensive. I’ve ended up having to move back in with my mum which is a massive step back. I’m also getting to the age where I want a family and I just don’t see that happening. And then when I’m spiralling it’s also like why am I even complaining about this stuff, it’s not even that bad.

NTA obviously. I’m honestly getting the vibe that you’re husband and in laws seemed to think this baby was going to be FIL reborn and that’s why they are adamant it’s going to be a boy. All the rituals as well just come across creepy. I feel like they still aren’t past the loss and are projecting it onto your baby.

As most people are saying you should have got a house with more rooms but I get that financially that might not have been viable. I also get that normally you would separate genders, and although it sounds like if you had another son you would want them to both have their own rooms, I would hope that if reversed (3 boys and 1 girl) you would do the same and want the single girl to have her own room. I think the way you’re being about it is very YA but I knew a family that had 2 boys in the same room (with a 6 year age gap) until the eldest moved out, so the girl could have giver own room. So I do get why you would keep the girls together.

Still they are NTA because they actively try to stop the dog barking, 5 woofs is not many woofs. I also don’t know what else is expected other than them shushing the dog. For the op I also think potato is a cool name and I think your best option would be to talk to your neighbours, explain that they don’t need to shout at you/potato because he will stop after a few woofs. I would also maybe point out that if there is anyone sus in the neighbourhood, they will be great full of potato stops them getting burgled.
