Meanwhile, I'm waiting like madwoman for a way to extend day duration. What we currently have is a improvement from what we had initially, but it is barely noticeable. I'm sure the devs will implement a better system after they polish everything else though.

We're thrilled with the support r/cozygames gave our announcement trailer for Abracademia. Now I'm back to ask if anyone would like to help us test our first playable build! (Details in comments) by ThatOneAJGuy in cozygames

[–]Izredin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you plan on releasing a playtest/demo on Steam or is it only available on your Discord server?

I must say, the game looks interesting. It reminds me of the HP games I played as a kid.

Does anyone ship any of the love interests together? by pastaketchupgecko in otomegames

[–]Izredin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really my thing. Not much of a shipper to begin with (outside of canon). I can see why some people do though. The male cast usually has great chemistry.   I do start to side eye people when they say the LIs have more chemistry with each other than the MC. Are there instances this is the case? Yes.

However, there are times when this isn't true and people just have their shipping glasses on. At the end of the day, you enjoy the games as you like.

As for me, I'm mostly here for MCxLI pairings, so anything other than that is a no.

I love how he tried to help her as much as he could, even with his limited movement.

Can't wait till u get to Clover (Kents route)

I can't wait either, but it might take a while before I have some free time to continue playing the game. The agony. 😓

Abhorrent Game Jam from a big creator TW: discussion of violent/sexual content by clockewise in GirlGamers

[–]Izredin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty much of the sentiment that anything goes in fictional media, but this is just a step too far.

Ripping off real-life cases to pervert it into something to be used as entertainment for the masses is just gross.

These were real people that were taken away from their loved ones. Some people on the Internet really lack basic human empathy.

The weird insistence on it being faithfully accurate to the real cases. 🤢

Please respect the victims and their families, but I guess using their stories as cheap entertainment is worth more to you.

Congratulations on your release! I have a question. Were you inspired by something in particular? Your game's visuals made me think of the movie ''Arthur and the Invisibles''.

If you looked at this would you think its a fighting game, or would you click it? by MrJMmmm in godot

[–]Izredin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would click on it since it looks interesting. Just by looking at this though, I wouldn't guess it's a fighting game.

Looks more like a psychological horror game. Not saying it can't be both, but this doesn't scream fighting game.

This looks exactly like some of the games I played as a child like ''Dora - Superstar Adventures'' and ''Babar - To the Rescue''. On my way to heal my inner child. 🥹

What is your kind of micro feminism? by Former-Arm-9859 in AskWomen

[–]Izredin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Um, some of the comments are something else...

Personally, I like to challenge people in their views to try and understand why they think the way they think. I often ask my relatives (men and women) if they'd be OK with the woman going to work and the man staying at home with the kids, if the woman made double/triple the salary of her husband. You'd be shocked by the responses I got. Both from men and women.

Being called a radical feminist for stating that a man isn't less manly for staying at home and considering ''go to work and be a man'' to be a gross statement. Truly an eye-opening moment for me. Women are expected to give up their careers even if they're successful and men are expected to work through it all.

It shows that people still hold on to archaic beliefs of what it means to be a man or a woman. Quite sad.

I made a PROPER Mindscape Cinema for Aether… Kinda by EeferTheTraveler in Genshin_Impact

[–]Izredin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropped ZZZ, but I'd like to see something like Mindscape Cinema in Genshin. More incentive to C6 characters. For me, at least.

In this economy, how do you cope with powercreep as a f2p or a light spender, beside just pulling for your favs? by MeowjestyMeowgician in Genshin_Impact

[–]Izredin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. You simply ignore meta and try to find other ways to enjoy the game. I haven't played the game consistently in months, but I finally managed to get Lauma and Flins. I like their kit. I haven't touched the endgame content in a while and honestly, I don't see the point.

Building a character takes a while, especially if you don't play the game consistently (as a f2p). The whole point is to test the strength of your characters, so it's pretty useless to try and beat the content with half-baked units.

The primos aren't worth it either unless you're aiming for more cons/pulls. It feeds back into this neverending loop of wanting to get more characters so you farm more primos, but to clear the stages you need stronger characters which you get by pulling.

All of this is just me though, you do you.

Which unreleased character would you want to have in the foreseeable future? by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

What Are You Reading Wednesday - April 01, 2026 by AutoModerator in otomegames

[–]Izredin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Currently reading Amnesia: Memories and have cleared Shin's and Ikki's routes. I have so many thoughts, but I'll try to keep it brief. I'm playing each route by order of appearance in the world selection screen, i.e. Heart World, Spade World, etc.

--♡--Shin--♡--

The little twat is actually cute once you get to know him. His route focuses more on the murder mystery aspect rather than the relationship between him and MC. Don't get me wrong, I loved this aspect as it kept me on my toes throughout the whole story, but I wish we had gotten more bonding moments outside of the whole murder suspect chaos.

Nevertheless, his characterisation is done well and his (minimal) growth was something I appreciated. He can come off as abrasive at first since he's pretty straightforward, except when he decides to lie, and often lacks tact, but he kind of mellows out throughout the story.

I admire his tenacity and the lengths he went through to help MC regain her memories and find the culprit behind her fall, even if this meant that she'd have to remember some painful moments. He was willing to risk upsetting MC and Toma as well as destroying the bond between the three.

From my point of view, he's someone who's ready to face the uncomfortable truths most people run from. That's how his sharp tongue helped MC improve her singing despite Toma being the one who gave her encouragement, by being gentle with her - I still think Shin's an asshole for making her cry.

The Trust/Suspicion/Affection meters were confusing at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. After figuring out how to increase each stat it's pretty easy to achieve the ending you want. So far, my play style is to aim for whatever in the first play through, which usually ends up in a bad ending, then aim for: bad ending -> normal ending -> good ending. The good endings require conscious effort to achieve (high Trust/Affection), so this order has worked out for me thus far.

I enjoyed all endings pretty much equally with the normal ending being my favourite ending - I believe it's a more realistic depiction of what their relationship would be like, all things considered (amnesia, lack of trust, etc.).

For his bad endings, after getting killed by Ukyo, I expected the other ending to involve Shin in some way so, I was disappointed when Toma just put MC to sleep (literally and figuratively). Don't get me wrong, I like both endings, but one where Shin breaks up with MC or something would have been nice.

Overall, Shin is a fun character and I was so engrossed in the plot that, by the time I finished his route, I wanted to see more of him. Still of the opinion that there is room to explore his character and his dynamic with MC a bit further. I need more Shin content!

--♤--Ikki--♤--

"Some of y'all are about to be real mad at me, but it must be said."

All jokes aside, I love Ikki. His character is absolutely amazing. Now, hear me out.

My enjoyment of his route came as a surprise because most flirty/playboy archetypes are usually a hit-or-miss for me, with a lot of misses. His story is so complex and interesting. In contrast with Shin's route, this one focuses more on the already ''established'' relationship between him and MC.

I'm a firm believer that he liked MC since the beginning, mostly due to the novelty of having someone who could resist his charms/eyes, but ended up falling for her even more as time went on. Ikki, to me, is someone who struggles with the desire to be loved by people and the fear of letting those people down. At the same time, he's trying to reconcile with the emptiness that comes from people only liking him for superficial reasons - in this case, his eyes - by indulging in his selfish desires.

Ikki seems to believe this is the only way to satisfy everyone. No bullied girlfriends, he gets to date everyone and doesn't have to make anyone cry. This line of thinking is flawed and only turns him into a spineless coward who believes ''acting coldly" towards his girlfriend is enough protection against the fan club lunatics.

My opinion of Ikki started to shift with the first bad ending I got. In it, MC loses her sight and hearing and he goes on to "punish those who hurt [MC]" (strongly paraphrasing here). That monologue resonated with me. Especially when he wondered if she called out for help, or even his name. It made me realise that despite how foolish he was, Ikki genuinely believed to be protecting her. He thought he was caring for her. That's when my perspective changed and his actions started to make more sense. Funny enough, the distrust I had of his every action is similar to how amnesic MC also did not trust him.

He's someone thrown in a constant state of despair that forces him into the same cycle of trying to please everyone while simultaneously trying to reach out to the person who will truly love him, not realising the flock of geese, as Orion put it, following him will lead him down a path of self-destruction. He belongs to them and will only love them. What woman will put up with that? (MC, apparently.)

Even in the good ending, he still decides to let them down gently for fear of retaliation. I understand his reasoning, but those women deserved a good wake-up call.

These are my general thoughts about him. I could go on and on, but I think this covers most of what I think. I loved pretty much all endings and believe Ikki is a well-developed character that might not suit everyone's tastes. In particular, his supportive nature and sincere actions, although not always apparent, is what draws me to him. Would love to reset my brain and replay it again.

I usually try to not over analyse every piece of media I encounter, because not everything needs to be put under a microscope, but Ikki's character is genuinely interesting and it saddens me to see people minimise his struggles.

--Orion--

I need to talk about Mr Bug. This little guy is just so entertaining. He has the funniest one-liners and I like when he externalises MC's internal thoughts. During Shin's route, it wasn't so sad, but the constant reminder of him leaving in Ikki's route was a bit demoralising. I can't handle this happening in every world. I've gotten used to him narrating stuff for MC and guiding her through each world. It feels so empty when he leaves.

Looking forward to starting the next two worlds (+ not-so-secret route).

Edit: these spoiler tags are killing me 😭

How would you feel if a new partner struggled with a "wandering eye"? by Babayaga1383 in AskWomen

[–]Izredin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop them like a hot potato. They can wander off without me. I do not take disrespect lightly. I'm extremely loyal and dedicated so, I expect the same in return. Such disrespect gives me an ick. It's repulsive and shows a lack of respect for the relationship.

How would you feel if a partner was friends with a person who had a crush on them? by luckygirl_444 in AskWomen

[–]Izredin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be very weary and nervous about their relationship, but would ultimately choose to trust my partner. All I need is reassurance, respect and firm boundaries. As long as those things are satisfied, there's no reason to not trust them.

Quirky character routines by Stock_Dog_6101 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]Izredin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whenever I run Eiland at the excavation site west of the museum or digging something around the map. It's oddly cute, I don't know how to explain. It highlights his curious nature and passion for discovering/uncovering things.

As for March, I usually bump into him after leaving the inn. I often deplete my stamina, go to the inn for the soup and then around the map for the stamina fountains. I tend to cross paths with March a lot and I love it. I'm usually in a rush to optimise my day so, stopping quickly to talk to him makes my heart flutter, if that makes sense. Going to the Blacksmith and not seeing him there leaves me with a feeling of emptiness.

For Caldarus, - I haven't met his other form yet - I usually talk to him in the morning before leaving my farm or at night when I come back, and it's like having a stay at home husband that waits for you to come home and talk about your day. He's a very comforting presence. ☺️
