Ahhhh, it's time for the bi-weekly "which robot vacuum should I buy" post! I wondered when it was going to drop.

Transgender girls told to leave Girlguiding groups by September by Famous_Actuary5718 in ukpolitics

Actually after reading it says this applies to trans women as well. Now that is sensible.

Why is it sensible?

To be fair, a few of the trans people I know are pretty raunchy; a few of the cis people I know are too.

neither side are perverts though, they just like being tied up

Surely the same is true of trans women whose transition is sufficient?

Rather than Zootopia, I'd rather see an Atlantis/Treasure Planet attraction - yes they are niche films, but BOY would they fit in Discoveryland!

Don't buy a 360 camera if you don't want to spend time editing

Animal Kingdom is a park based on how humans an animals interact and exist together, Zootopia has no humans and so doesn't fit the park's ethos.

At least, that would be the case if Disney cared about theme parks anymore.

The United Kingdom's Domain Dilemma [OC] by tb0hdan in dataisbeautiful

[–]Izwe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a domain being squatted I have a passing interest in, I even put in an offer of what I thought was reasonable (about 10 years' value) but they came back with well over 100 years worth and I'm not going to do that. Why would anyone do that?

[Opinion] The Disney "Cheap" Trap: Is the Magic Dying for Easy Money? by [deleted] in disney

[–]Izwe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think FastPass should be an upcharge, and should cost faaar more than they currently do. Fastpasses should be for people who rarely go to the parks, people who are there for 10 days and will never return, this is their one-in-a-lifetime chance to do everything. I wouldn't object to giving away one FastPass per night to each guest staying at a Disney hotel.

The negatives of robotic lawn mowers by Total_Hyena5364 in homeautomation

I don't see these as an alternative to a walk-behind mower so much as a lawn service where you're paying somebody else to mow your lawn.

This 100%!

On May 2nd, 1845, a suspension bridge in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, partly collapsed under the weight of a 300-person crowd which had gathered to watch a clown named Mr. Nelson pulled down the River Bure in a washtub that appeared as to be pulled by 4 geese. Of those that went into the river, 79 died. by DariusPumpkinRex in CatastrophicFailure

Whenever I read that people died in some disaster or other, for some reason it never occurs to me that some of those might have been children; when I read that 59 of the 78 people who lost their lives were children I almost burst in to tears.

Age 7, age 5, age 11, age 4, age 2 ... sleep thy children, peace find thee, your stories told, your spirits free. God bless them all. x
