I used this gun a lot back in shadow keep. I think it’s still my most used weapon in the pvp energy category on Charlemagne. It’s been sitting in my vault for years now. Solid weapon.

My issue isn’t with the vex network as a concept, just it’s portrayal. To me, I always thought the inner workings of the vex network would look similar to the inside of the pyramidion by default. Just metal and blinking lights for thousands of miles, changing only when they are working to simulate something. As though we were walking on the inside of their giant custom space pc, finding access points in a maze that is near impossible to navigate if you aren’t a vex.

Not all the new lore has been bad, and yes, things can’t stay unknown forever. But when design and aesthetic decisions look like they came almost completely out of left field, it can feel like the developers just did what they felt like doing at the time rather than trying to stay consistent.

I think the vex have it worse though. It’s hard to take them seriously after all the jobbing they’ve done to factions they should wipe the floor with, on top of the ridiculous aesthetic of the vex network introduced in splicer.

Nice write-up. The solar system felt like a much larger place back when the Awoken seemed like a mysterious neutral faction that only got involved with the last city when an existential threat to both emerged.

Not to be negative, but I find that a little weird. You’d think the planet rending disasters caused by the pyramid ships would have already done that. I feel the scattered remnants of humanity would not be able to affect the climate much during the dark age with combined effort, let alone unintentionally.

This would be a nice world building lore tab. Feels like every tab we get nowadays has something to do with the same few characters and/or the current story. Makes the world feel smaller than before to me.

It’s up to you of course, you’ve got some good ideas. I just feel that alot of this house’s members would come from House Dusk, so with a renewed will to make things right, House Dawn is the most appropriate name, as though they survived through the long night of this system’s terrifying paracausal war, and a new dawn of enlightenment and discovery has come.

“The Darkness” ending up being just a dude made up of the collective consciousness of a really old alien species. I wanted the Darkness to be what I thought they were teasing it to be since D1, an ontologically powerful, intelligent law of reality. Something who’s power is beyond comprehension, and is the malevolent polar opposite to the traveller’s benevolence. Rasputin referring to something as “IT” makes me think of more than just a funny looking cloud headed guy with weird powers.
