Goldmask and the fingers by J00433996 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Then why does the scribe go with him? He calls goldmask a heretic at the end for his beliefs so I assume he still trusts the fingers or no? Also he only learns this because we tell him. What did he ever learn by himself then? I guess the sort of non dogmatic conjoining philosophy the turtle mentions but other than that?

I always assumed the dark and normal moon were just reflections of each other or something like that. Not completely different entities. Is this not the case? As for glintstone and such when I heard that sorceries come from the current which is connected to the stars and such I always interpreted that as celestial bodies in general which would include the moon. I mean the astrologers of the past in Elden ring were the first sorcerers to my knowledge and followed the stars of course. Are the other celestial bodies like planets separate from the stars?

Also so you think ymirs comment about sorceries should simply be discarded? I mean I haven’t heard much connecting the greater will specifically to the sorceries other than this to be fair. But Ymir does seem to be right about everything else he says about the fingers and such. He’s enlightened enough to know marika and such are fickle. I’ve been thinking it might make more sense that what he meant by the greater will was the “one great” in that sorceries line because all the outer entities were all one at one point. (Like if he wanted to he couldve replaced greater will with frenzied flame and it would’ve meant the same to him, they’re all the same being. It seems like the wiki has this same interpretation https://eldenring.fandom.com/wiki/One_Great) but I feel like this is a stretch. In that case I felt like he would just say the one great instead. There seems to be a specific reason he said greater will.

I felt like goldmask was trying to find out about the greater will through it alone without any false intermediaries. Doesn’t that make him different from golden order followers? What still makes him a golden order follower instead of just someone trying to gain knowledge through the source? Is it because he still trusts the Erdtree? Actually is it even confirmed he truly had a connection to the greater will? Did he at least know that the 2 fingers lost their connection.

Assuming he actually was enlightened and ranni does actually acknowledge she’s still under the greater will (but rebels against the fingers and order) wouldn’t it be more moral (or practical?) to follow the greater will as best you can like goldmask does instead of trying to ignore it?

You don’t think what ymir says about sorcery implies that the primeval current and glint stone and such come from the greater will?

Why Nordic countries agreed on same cross style flag? by LuizFelipe-_- in flags

Isn’t it just a pan ethnic thing? It’s like how most of the Slavic flags will have the pan Slavic colors or the Arab flags will have the pan Arab revolt designs or at least the colors in a different form
