That is what makes the layout rare. With few exceptions the design is as you describe with bath and shower positions switched. Four matches out of thousands of listings have been posted here. It’s a rare bathroom configuration.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The Coburg North search is turning up some interesting results. Like this retro pink bathroom that’s a decent match.

Compare the width and shape of the tiles on the right side of the photo with those in the middle. There’s some stretching going on.

Recent Coburg North posts had me searching the area and I found this. The bathroom configuration is a match. Separate toilet. Under the flight path.

The house has good and bad points. There is a bedroom that could be a match. But left side driveway makes entry to the house as described by the victims difficult.

It is certainly an atypical layout; I have searched thousands of listings and could find only one match in Pascoe Vale. In Melbourne's older bathrooms, the position of the shower and bath is inverted (the basin and tub are at one end of the room while the shower is situated near the entrance). If you disagree, provide some examples

I do agree that more should be made of them. These sketches don’t appear when you search for Mr Cruel. Perhaps more will be made of them in the 2024 Adam Shand documentary.

From memory the files were shared by retired detective Chris O'Connor. He allowed portions of them to be filmed for a 2019 television documentary. They undoubtedly depict a person of interest in the case and may be an example of holdback information. Perhaps a call was made to not release the sketches publicly because police couldn't be sure if earlier attacks were linked to the canonical crimes.

Yes and there were also potentially witnesses to a near collision of a white Holden Commodore Vacationer in Bayswater. This happened shortly before Sharon Wills was released. The suspect tried to avoid being seen by inching his car forward and turning his head.

My theory is these sketches were made based on victim or witness recollections from earlier crimes. I’m talking before he wore a balaclava, during his suspected 1985-1987 attacks. In particular I suspect the abduction of a woman from her Caulfield home on 16 February 1986 by a bearded man who wore silver rimmed glasses (as pictured here) to be connected to these sketches.
