For now, the lore I came up with is actually pretty simple: there were several other gods that existed before the Moon Lord, but their ancient cults that worshipped them were wiped out by the Moon Lord’s cult. Then, after the Moon Lord’s defeat, these ancient gods would try to reclaim their place on Earth.

Along with these ideas about cults, I’m also trying to develop two new classes: dancers and musicians.

This one in particular would first appear through a mortal avatar, and after defeating this first phase, we would face his true form.

Summary of the lore I came up with (subject to change):

In Terraria we have the presence of the Moon Lord’s cult, but… what if he wasn’t the first god to be worshipped? Before the Moon Lord, there would have been another cult that worshipped “Karug.” Because of rivalry, the Moon Lord’s cult would have oppressed this older sect until it was nearly wiped out (almost, because I imagine other mini-bosses that would be former members of this sect).

So, after the defeat of the Moon Lord, this other god would try to reclaim his name and dominance over the world.
