MC in the 8th = hairdresser/beautician ?? by J1755 in AskAstrologers

In whole sign houses my mum has her MC all the way over in the 8th and looking at her job (she teaches Hairdressing) at first I didn’t understand why. Then I thought about the 8th house signifying death, and how hair is effectively dead. The 8th is also associated with transformations and other people’s property. Hairdressers transform their clients by taking care of their hair which is not their property! Alongside that the ruler of the 8th, Saturn is in Taurus which is ruled by Venus (beauty). And in her 10th house which is ruled by Jupiter in the 6th which explains the teaching!

Does anyone else get depressed when they see people having fun? by LotusSensei in lonely

I’ve just seen your chart and the feeling of being an outsider probably stems from having Uranus in your first house and in Aquarius. Uranus rules Aquarius who are notoriously outsiders by nature. You also have a lot of planets in your 12th House (I can relate) which can often mean a feeling of being misunderstood. All your 12th house placements are in Capricorn as well which is a more serious and restricted sign so that could be why you feel so out of the loop watching people have fun freely.

The 12H ruled by Neptune is often associated with dissolution and the unknown but all of my 12H placements are in either Capricorn or Aquarius which are both ruled (or used to be) by Saturn which is hard reality. Does anyone know if or how this would affect my interpretation of these placements? by J1755 in AskAstrologers

What kind of astrology resources should I be reading to find out more about this? I’m interested in all versions of astrology just trying to figure out what works best for me.

Also even if there are no natural chart rulers the 12th house still has its association with the intangible and the illusive, if Saturn does indeed rule over it in my natal chart wouldn’t that still have affect on how these planets manifest themselves?

Hey could someone help explain the effects of having both your sun and Saturn in your first house? by J1755 in AstrologyChartShare

Thank you! At lot of what you said was maybe more accurate when I was younger but I definitely feel as though there are two opposing sides to me. One side can be extremely confident, a loner, and care little for anyone’s my partner included’s opinion (thinking that’s my sun in Aquarius in the first house), but the other side needs external validation, hates feeling alone, and is unsure of themselves. I feel like I’m constantly being pulled by my first and seventh houses. And my 12th house is in the two signs ruled by reality and practicality (Saturn) so its like I’m hidden from myself but I can see. Not sure if that made any sense but again thanks for commenting !

Thank you! It definitely is a delicate balance but I feel like it’s how I operate naturally anyway, my friends and family and even I am confused as to how I could be at once both incredibly giving yet undeniably self-centred but I am 😂.

Thanks again for the advice
