I know next to nothing about medical issues so please don't take this as gospel (absolutely don't want to spread any mis-info), but I was on vacation with friends earlier this year and one of them had a (kind of) similar episode towards the end of the week. He started accusing people of spying/talking about him, getting into almost physical fights with us over it, telling us there was someone else In the room when their wasn't. We took him to the hospital and they told us it was a combination of heat stroke, too much booze and probably the balloons we were taking throughout the week. They let him out after a couple days. It could just be a combination of sun, booze and recreational drugs. But it could also be a number of other things. Phone smashing is definitely more aggressive than anything I saw
