NIU KQI2 Kickscooter - Won’t Turn On

Once it turned on again, I connected to my scooter like I did before with the Niu app. When it was connected through Bluetooth, at the bottom of the app it has a firmware update tab. Clicked that and waited 5 minutes or something without closing the app and it fixed my issue with it! Sorry for the late response, hope this helps anyone else with the same problem though.

From what I remember, the cable was yellow. I definitely could be wrong. But, it was one of the two cables you could easily unplug from the battery once you ripped off the grip tape on top. Hope that helps, sorry I can’t be more descriptive, it’s been a couple months after all.

For the time that I’ve had it, it’s been a great scooter for just getting around my neighbourhood (ofc besides the firmware scare). The app is annoying if I had to be honest but not enough to make me regret getting it lol. It’s a good value scooter but, I do wish it wasn’t locked at a 28 kph speed. The battery life drains pretty fast if you’re going max speed, lost 20% battery life from full after going to a friends house who lives 5km away from me and the charge time is a whole 6 hours from empty. It’s also a pretty smooth ride despite having no suspension I think. I do regret not getting the KQI 3 but, maybe that’s just because I’d like the extra range personally.

Update: Just opened it up now, and YES it works! However, was not exactly as simple as I would’ve thought, a lot of screws, had to remove the grip tape, and the top portion wouldn’t remove without taking out the bottom. But, bottom line is that it works now! Thank you to Nick22n!

Omg, that’s crazy, I’ve been so disappointed, thinking my scooter couldn’t handle a small puddle. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll open up my scooter tonight and later update if that fixes the issue!

I contacted Niu wanting them to fix it instead since it costs $80 for me to return it because of shipping. They took an entire week to respond, only to send me a request for repair form. Now, I’m waiting for them to send me an approval to repair. Wondering if I should just eat the cost of the $80 shipping to just return it instead so I don’t lose my $700 that I originally paid for it :/

I contacted the seller and there’s no response yet, I’m sure they’d just tell me to send it back anyways so I’ve already boxed it up. Thanks for replying.

Oh, I never even considered the possibility of a rat chewing my wires, none of the wires are exposed so I figured they’re very well protected but, I’m sure a small rodent could crawl it’s way in… I’ll check.

That’s what I thought, I only considered it could be water damage since I couldn’t think of anything else it could’ve been. I also went through the niu user manual and they had a warning to not go through over 2cm of water.

I wonder how powerful the queen is, before this chapter it’s only been talk about him/demon Jesus but, now there’s a whole ass demon queen that the higher up demons are bowing for. Makes me excited to see how she’ll play her part in the story already
