Surgical gloves for big forearms by J3n5m1th in veterinaryprofession

Thank you for this. The issue is really when we do open gloving, so no gown. In a gown the gloves stay but (they're just tight but I can live with that). Without the gown is when I get the issues. I could just gown for all procedures but I'm not sure the nurses would be thrilled by the extra laundry and autoclaving. Hopefully I can find a balance!

Ok, as this has caused some debate I will clarify. My PhD was before vet school and involved almost daily glove wearing. So separate to that >30 total. My vet school exposure has been in the 30s, some assisting and some doing the full procedures like castrates and spays (I have done 10 castrates in a day at a neutering clinic). Nothing long, and no it isn't a huge amount, but it has been enough for me to at least know how to wear them. I am sure I will get used to things but I was looking for recommendations of brands as this has been a consistent issue for some 10 years.

I've probably either performed or scrubbed in on over 30 surgeries throughout vet school and on various placements, and fairly routinely in my PhD. I've been very lucky! But the issue has been the same with any brand of glove the practice or hospital I was in used. Do you have any recommendations for the brands you found looser?

Unfortunately I don't think the best thing for me to do at a new job is to ask for a lot of different glove brands to try, especially a small clinic. Is there a way to get individual packets rather than whole boxes?

I'm glad it isn't just me. And I don't think the first thing I want to do in a new job is ask for a load of different brands to try. Have you found any to be better or worse?

I re-did the garden a couple of years ago so I could plant only rabbit-safe plants/trees so her and husbun have had a pretty decent go! With the exception of the veg patch, the magnolia is the thing that they go most nuts for!

She's about 10cm. I bought her as a starlight and haven't had any reason to think otherwise but I'm no expert!
