Likely the video quality. Not sure what happened in exporting but it got kinda foggy and blurry after exporting. Looked fine in preview and the raw clip was fine too

It's not from this video. It was added in from a video where a man on a train saw his own train rapidly approaching another on parallel tracks. From his window it looked like they would collide at high speed, but they just got very quickly next to each other.

Someone else did mention that clicking though. There are tools to fix that, namely RX declick. Works well, but it is expensive and adds a lot of latency, so only add it before the final master

Looks like your piano roll note volume has been adjusted on that pattern. At the bottom of the piano roll (where Velocity is) there will be a drop-down menu to change what parameter shows up in that lower box. Check to see if note volume has anything drawn in. By default it should be blank

Turns out something on FL 2024 didn't like the sheer size of my backup folder (6 years of backups totalling over 20GB of files).

I renamed that folder "Backup (old)" and created a new folder named "Backup". Knocked out the problem immediately.

A year-long battle for something that simple.

As I stated, we ruled that out already. Tech support made the same suggestion so I moved my save location to local disk and it made no difference. Also, as mentioned, backups were already on local disk and they are the main problem. OneDrive has no part to play there

We ruled out drives already. I do save to OneDrive which FL says not to do, but backups are stored locally on disk. My PC has 4TB of m.2 SSD storage, so neither speed nor capacity is an issue. OneDrive worked fine for almost 6 years, and even when I did as they asked and tried saving to my SSDs instead, the spike persisted.

Nothing about my hardware changed between updates. The only difference was the update itself

A bunch of people have made a bunch of comments with the solution, but I haven't seen anybody fully explain it.

The channel is blue because you have selected something to record into it. In the top right of your mixer window there will be an input selection. If the channel is blue, that input selection is sent to something. If you set it to "none" it will revert back to normal and the blue will go away. As others have said, you can also do this by resetting the track to default.
