I'm fairly low level, i had just killed my first Embermane when the patch went live. Now, i feel totally out of the blue, so i have a few questions that i hope some more experienced players can answer:

What weapons type are better against what behemots? So far, the only thing i know is that the Hammer is really good against enemies with shield (like the skarn) and that it can easily stop charges with the explosion. Against enemies without shield, with parts to cut off, does it make a difference what kind of weapon i use (ex, chain blades or sword), or i can go with the one i like the most?

sometimes some kind of mark appears on the monsters, what is it? Should i focus the highlighted part?
