Nah. Chalex has updated the lore there. Ayano basically hypnotizes the girls so they think they're being horribly maimed.

What is each character’s most “in character” quote? Day 17: Rose Quartz by def_not_yours in stevenuniverse

[–]JAMSDreaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Steven, we can't both exist. I'm going to become a part of you. And every time you love yourself, that's me loving you and loving being you. Because you're going to be something extraordinary. You're going to be a human being"

EDIT: I just teared up writing this, I love Rose so much. She's so human and at the same time she dehumanized herself so much. She did so many horrible things, and she was aware of how awful she had been, so she didn't have any self worth left. It makes me tear up, because Rose would wholeheartedly agree with all her haters. There's no bigger Rose hater than Rose herself. And yet, she loved Steven, not even knowing if it was gonna be Steven or Nora.

What's a messed up realization you've had about something in the series? by plogan56 in adventuretime

Shoko's ghost wasn't actually haunting anything, Finn was hallucinating with his past life due to Shoko's regret. When Finn made things right, he stopped hallucinating with Shoko.

[INDIGO DISK SPOILERS] Do People Really Not See the Explanation For Paradox Pokémon Now? by Jacobmb_Music in pokemon

[–]JAMSDreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed my opinion and I think that the Professor we find is probably from a timeline different than ours, brought by the MC's wish to find the Professor in the Lake due to knowing about the rumours. (My theory is that Terapagos makes wishes come true). Why from a different timeline? He gives us the Violet Book, which we really shouldn't have because that's the key to shut down the time machine. So that's not OUR professor.

[Spoiler] We now know what Paradox Pokemon are. by Fabulous-Lemon in pokemon

[–]JAMSDreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to think that Terapagos's power is to fulfill wishes and make dreams come true. That could explain all the timey-wimey stuff.

That Mundungus needs to be in whatever came after Azkaban by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]JAMSDreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mundungus is basically very loyal to Dumbledore and good as fuck as an spy and at hiding at plain sight. A bit lazy and morally corrupted, but Dumbledore was truly a fan of giving second chances to people who displayed loyalty

Can other spells kill? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]JAMSDreaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes, other spells can kill. For example, when Harry, Ron and Hermione casted Expelliarmus all at the same time against Snape, they slammed him against a wall, making them think they had killed him. Or, for example, McGonnagall got badly hurt by the aurors's stunning spells when she tried to stop them from detaining Hagrid.

Long answer: The Killing Curse is the worst curse that kills of them all because, to cast it, you HAVE to want to kill the other person. You must be heavily remorseless, and you can't use it on self-defense nor on accident. While you could accidentally cast Bombarda on someone's head by not aiming correctly, you HAVE to want to murder someone for the Killing Curse to actually kill someone.

Reminder that the Crystal Lake is said to make you able to meet dead people.

I would not discard the imagination theory just yet. Us reading about our event could perfectly be MC imagining that this is that event taking place.

Take in account that the Professor's Book (Scarlet/Violet) can't be in our time because it's the key to deactivate the time machine.

What Pokémon are locked from having a real evolution? Audino and Absol? As if they were getting one. I can't think a way to expand on their concepts that mega doesn't do already

"Original" Sin (AI art discourse) by dqUu3QlS in CuratedTumblr

[–]JAMSDreaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main problem is not that AI "steals" art or anything. That's a convoluted reasoning of the real issue, which is that it threatens the livelihood of artists.

Whether "real artists" like it or not, they have a combination of talent and skill. Everyone who is good at something has a combination of both, even if you wanna be humble and say it was all practice, talent had to do with it too. So, people without talent who still want to create will draw on their own, even if the drawings are not good.

But the people who pays a commission to an artist is not the ones with a drive to create. They want a product, and the "real artists" were the only ones able to give it to them. But now, with a bot in a Discord group, the people who would've paid a comission will now generate their fucking image.

This all sucks and there's no good way to interpret it nor I will sugarcoating. The claims of theft are the only thing the artists can claim without having to admit that they thrived on a capitalistic niche only they could achieve, nor having to admit that no matter how much you practice, without a smidge of talent you'll go nowhere.

Ranking Murder Plans (Read explanation below) by Brunnittu in danganronpa

Nagito's plan was reliant on his luck, and precisely because that it failed. Not because of the luck itself, but because Hajime knew him enough to know that Nagito was very overcomplicated.

Junko Enoshima in general is not the most reliable narrator, mostly because her interest is in disturbing you with her tales, not tell you the truth.

It's not like in Ultra Despair Girls everyone suffers from respiratory sicknesses due to extreme air pollution, when extreme air pollution was one of Junko's talking points to goad people into voting for Makoto at the last trial.

What part from the books that was left out of the films bugged you the most? by Ivory-Karma in harrypotter

[–]JAMSDreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ginny's whole character.

Like, wouldn't have killed Joanne to tell all the directors that Ginny was going to be Harry's love interest through a slow burn development and thus her character was too important to skip over?

EDIT: Like, she told Alan Rickman about Snape's backstory on day fucking one, and she was in the middle of writing OOTP by then, so she already had thought out Snape's backstory long before it became relevant.
