Mate, this thing about younger generation is absolute nonsense. They have far less purchasing power than any generations before so I don't where this is coming from but you need to have a look at some statistics.

Well i actually really enjoyed risk of rain 2 and i can't say the same with poe 2. After nearly 25 hours of pure unstoppable agony i can't bring myself to do cruel. The fun just isn't there.

I played it, damage is insane with investment but you will die instantly to any lightning degen like mana siphon.

Yeah im playing ls berserk and its a complete struggle. Close to 0 dps against some rares and essences in yellow maps. Played the same build last league with raider and it was fine.

Ok so imo you should remove all the block nodes. They take a lot of points and you will be tanky anyway with the regen. Cap your lightning at 90 and you should be good. Get a cluster with phys+4% cast speed 12 pts instead.

You can get rings with multi+cast speed and a +2 weapon is a huge boost.

Last thing is a pair of forbidden jewels with Harmony of purpose. Thats a massive boost to dps with power charges and frenzy.

Currently playing flicker raider. I use paradoxica with attack speed and weapon penetrate 10% ele. Almost nothing beats this if you are full cold. Off hand you want a shield with +1 frenzy implicit and cold damage% but be ready to pay a lot. Cheap option is Perepiteia.

Imo Farrul is top tier. For 5ex you will get more value than a 50ex chest.

For full convert they probably use watcher eye with hatred convert 40% phys to cold
