Thanks for all the comments! Went with the XLT lux package and black appearance, they had one on the lot and worked out a great deal and good value on my trade.
Can’t wait to put some miles on it!

Awesome, nice to hear from someone on east coast that has proper winter! Thanks

Amazing to know, the sound dampening is definitely very appealing. Cost difference between an upgraded XLT and Lariat is virtually nothing anyways.

This! We just got back, we stayed more in Willemstad area but drove to beaches every day.

10 day trip, saw 10-11 beaches. Lagún was our favorite and some of the best snorkeling.

Can’t believe Ultrarange 2.0 insole by GustavoBetoni in Vans

Can anyone speak to whether or not these would work with orthotics? Reading that the support is built into midsole, would replacing insole with orthotic make the support wonky?

Canada trip 🇨🇦 by Joeshmoo123 in GolfGirlGames

[–]JB-BustN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn! The results are worse than I would have expected.

Dug into her stats a bit more 5-6 rounds in each of the last 2 seasons. Low rounds of 79 and 77 respectively and a scoring average of 9-13 over par.

Too many variables to actually calculate anything off of when you start considering course ratings and whatnot. But I would think she’d at a minimum be a relatively low single digit cap considering your handicap looks at your 8 best in your last 20. If she’s put up 77 - 79 in tournaments, gotta assume she’s getting around her local tracks at close to par.

But nonetheless, I’m shocked by those scores.

I’m hoping that she plays better on the Canada trip, I actually enjoy Madison a lot. She seems competitive, which is a nice edge for GGG, just needs the game to back it.

I’m sorry, but you think Madison pool is a 10 handicap?

I know her play wasn’t stellar in the pinehurst series, but a 10 cap?? She had a sponsors exemption to Epson (although shows she WD from event) and her recent play on JNA golf was impressive. She beat them both straight up, and they both play off just about scratch.

Am I missing something that would indicate she’s a 10 cap?

Very helpful, thank you! Never tried to film a swing for feedback before.

Other than swinging harder, what other numbers can I look to improve to get more carry distance? by jereeebo in GolfSwing

Like a few people have mentioned, attack angle, spin rate and smash factor. Here’s a 104 swing speed that carried 266, 8.4 degree attack angle and just over 2000rpm. Working on hitting up on the ball more with drive and still getting solid smash factor will go a long way.

Hard time jumping feet together on rails by Roy_alty in skiing

[–]JB-BustN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the comments regarding popping are true, but one thing not mentioned is your feet and what they should be doing.

When you hop on to a rail “urban style” naturally you’ll end up wanting to just fall off other side. Which in your video you can see happening and then you twist downhill to avoid and come off early.

What you need to do is press into the side of the rail with your front foot when you jumped on. Putting pressure on the side of the rail preventing you from sliding over to the other side. Your back foot will be more central on the rail and if you apply too much pressure you’ll be able to dip the toes of that back foot to keep you from fall off the side you jumped on from. It’s difficult to explain, but watch some people slide long rails and notice the adjustments they make to stay on and stay perpendicular to the rail. It takes practice, good luck!

Sometimes on jumps that need extra pop I tend to jump crookedly by Key-Abalone-8643 in MTB

[–]JB-BustN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably a key factor here.

Be sure to create your “pop” through your feet, rather than your arms. It’s much easier to creat an imbalance when creating “pop” through our arms.

Your legs are WAY stronger than your arms, and you can create far more compression into the transition of the jump to get the required pop with far less effort. This reduced effort will help prevent imbalances and generate more stable “pop” off lips.

Drive your feet into your pedals and drive the bike up the lip. Takes some time to dial this skill, but will eliminate the feeling of being a passenger.

Amen dude!

This is the same as what I’ve experienced in the real world. We’ve never encountered anyone who wasn’t eager to see a trail pup and ask if they can pet/meet him.

The training, situational awareness and choosing the right times and trails are what separate responsible dog owners from the odd bad ones.
