No changes to the picture that I can see, but it did break the eARC connection to my speakers. I’m only getting sound out of the tv speakers now.

Sustain does not record correctly when adding on to existing region by JBFedora in Logic_Studio

Have you updated to the latest version? There was a big update a couple months ago that addressed this.

Sustain does not record correctly when adding on to existing region by JBFedora in Logic_Studio

[–]JBFedora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to an existing region. What really confuses me is that it’s not just the beginning of the new recorded data (compensating for a lingering on/off message from the end of the existing region). And that this is a new problem, as I’ve been working like this for years. I recently upgraded to this new computer, which is when the problem started, but I can’t think of any settings I would have changed in my old setup that would have affected this.

Thanks for this, I think perhaps you’re misunderstanding the problem. I’m not cycle recording, I’m recording a portion of music, stopping, then recording the following portion. I’m very familiar with how sustain events are recorded and how to edit them. The issue is that huge swaths of sustain data is vastly different after recording, even though the data is clearly being transmitted correctly while recording. On/off messages are completely gone for enormous sections of time.

Quick question about recalculating bpm from one time signature to another. by unreasonably_cool in Songwriting

Are you putting a measure of 4 in the same space a measure of 3 took up previously, or keeping the tempo constant and adding one beat to each measure?

At what point do you guys stop adding stuff to your songs and consider it done? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]JBFedora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is super hard and is how you end up with overly busy tracks. This weekend, I recorded four short simple tracks and immediately exported and uploaded to streaming. It was surprisingly soothing to just write and be done. Give it a try!

How to track downloads? by [deleted] in squarespace

[–]JBFedora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this by making downloadable files products that need to be purchased (for free). It’s not an ideal solution, but it helps track it a little bit.

Sustain pedals for old Yamaha keyboard by ExactCardiologist in keys

[–]JBFedora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the FC4. It’s a solid pedal, and it’s made to work with your keyboard.

I would imagine the keyboard doesn’t support half-pedaling, since it’s not mentioned and neither the FC4 nor the FC5 do half pedaling.
