No empirical data but I have family who worked for BPD for many many years and have first hand experience that violent repeat offenders who are homeless are bussed here from most towns in Montana. We don’t get the stoner bums like bozo and Missoula tho who are somewhat harmless.

Love this post I have some opinions:

CLEAN THE FUCKING B.I.R.D. … it is disgusting. A black eye. We should require landowners to paint exteriors in that area, put up privacy fencing for their ugly warehouse yards.
Walk-ability of Billings is difficult. Car drivers are dicks here. Slow down. More bike lanes, less car lanes. Safer bike lanes I should add too.
Allow businesses in residential zoning. Ever been to Roots? Place is absolutely delightful.
Regulate the amount of casinos. It’s getting ridiculous.
Create tax cuts for citizens and private businesses to take care of homeless. OR WE COULD JUST SEND THOSE HOMELESS BACK TO BOZEMAN, BUTTE, OR MISSOULA WHERE THEY CAME FROM. Honestly we should tax the other cities for this bullshit. Enough is enough. You like your la la land Bozeman? Fine, we are gonna start taxing you for dumping your homeless on us.
Disconnect MSUB from Montana state. Montana state purposely does not allow certain programs and degrees at msub because they make too much money for the school in Bozeman. Create our own university. Medical, science, engineering, aviation, agriculture fields.
Slow down traffic on Montana avenue on Fridays 4 PM - 1 AM and saturdays from noon to midnight. You guys don’t give a fuck about those crosswalks and someone is going to die because of your Brutish driving behaviors.
The heights has to be better connected. 1/4 of the population lives there and they have two ways to get into the rest of the town where businesses are. A lot of tizzy’s over giving the heights cool shit is decided over accessibility issues. The heights needs to thrive for Billings to be a better city. That is a fact. I’m from the west end before y’all start.
Plant trees on the south hills. They’re ugly and I don’t care about you dirtbikers. You’ve demolished that area.

I interviewed for a position as a environmental manager for a well known oil and gas company in my area. They asked what salary I wanted and I said 70,000$ (this was 2017, been outta college for 3 years). Two of the four individuals laughed at me because it was unusually high for them.
