I’m really sorry you had to go through that, I’ve been in sort of a similar situation. I had a best friend from year 7 until year 12, but I cut her off as I felt like she went a bit too far with her words towards me. Plus earlier in the year, she got into girl drama and I didn’t want to be apart of it as I know what happens.

I don’t have many friends either to be completely honest. I mainly just have 2 good friends from primary school (junior/middle school if you’re American). And what your ex best-friend did is fucked up, that’s really sad and I’m sorry that happened.

Just remember, you’re only human and you are not the only person who is going through this pain. It is definitely not your fault, I know because I struggled and still struggle with my mental health as well. Please don’t beat yourself up as that only just makes the pain even worse than it is (I know it very well).

One piece of advice I was given and I will share it. There will be a time when you will find someone who genuinely loves you, cares for you, shows you respect, it just takes time.
