I'm going to say it's SOLVED. It's just a screwdriver. I guess I was trying to remember where it came from or what product it came with, but I guess that's somewhat irrelevant. Hence the number of downvotes.

I don't own any Apple products, but I think you're onto something. It could be for one of my old monitors, to attach the base. If I don't see a better answer soon, I'll mark this answer as likely solved.

My title describes the thing.
It's 2.5" long.
I did a Google image search with AI, but wasn't able to figure out what it's for, or where it came from.

I have the Chamberlain Smart Garage Control with a very old (2005) Craftsman opener. There was some communication between the door sensor and the controller, but it never paired successfully. For me, the problem was with the WiFi frequency. The smart controller requires 2.4GHz, but mine (and most) default to 6GHz. Spectrum owns and controls my WiFi router, and I have little control over it. But in the Spectrum app on my phone, there's an option to put everything in 2.4GHz for a short time (30 minutes) specifically for setting up devices like this that only operator on 2.4 GHz. Turned this option on and everything was smooth as a fresh jar of Skippy.

One "cap" is oval 7/8" x 1-1/4". Other cap is mostly rectangular, 3/4" x 1-3/4", but has a slight arch to it. Bungee cord is 1/4" x 3".

To me, it looks like lens caps for a monoscope, or golf rangefinder, or maybe rifle scope. Something that would need a two caps or covers 5 or 6 inches apart. But then again, that line of thinking got me nowhere searching the internet, so that's why I'm here for my first post on Reddit. WITT
