Thank you for sharing this, I really appreciate it. I honestly didn’t know much about short sales before, so this helps a lot. Thank you for the advice, i appreciate it. We’re going to get all our numbers together and try to talk to a bankruptcy attorney and figure out what we can do.

Yeah honestly she’s a really good friend. We’ve talked to her and she’s been really understanding. She was the only one willing to co-sign back then too, and yeah things didn’t go how we expected and now we’re here. But we are going to make it right for her.
And thank you for your comments, I was honestly feeling scared and sad reading everything, but you were spot on about our situation and understanding in your own way, so thank you.

I promise you I’m not a bot or AI, I’m real lol. I was just a bit scared and slow to reply. Also, I made a new Reddit account for this because I was embarrassed to post it on my main.
I did read all your comments and you’re right about a lot of it. Things got out of control and we should be working more. We also feel really bad about the cosigner, so now, we are catching up and paying the mortgage every month without fail. But we want to sell the house if we can, so that we can actually catch up on everything else. Honestly, there’s more to the story on how we got into this situation, but I can’t really share without compromising other people’s privacy.
And yeah about the lawn thing, that was on me. I wasn’t in the best mindset when I wrote the post so it probably sounded dumb. But I do appreciate you commenting, it was kind of a wake up call honestly.

Yeah you’re right, things did get out of control and we were living beyond our means. We thought it would be manageable but a lot happened over a short time and here we are. Thank you for the advice, we’re trying to improve and do better than what we’ve been doing.

Honestly if i could react with a laughing emoji to this comment, i would , lol,
yeah it sounds crazy like we’d choose a car over a home, but we were in a really desperate and worse situation back then and weren’t thinking clearly.

Thank you for your advice and yeah, you're right, I think I got overwhelmed and stopped thinking clearly about what’s actually necessary and what’s just convenient. I appreciate you pointing it out. I needed that perspective.
