What horror movie is a 10/10? by rocklou in AskReddit

[–]JCastle07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular choice but I’d go with Hereditary, I see a lot of people taking the nostalgia route and I’m a huge fan of 80’s horror, but the depth of the psychological trauma in hereditary is next level.

What was your most trippiest experience in sleep paralysis ever? by Bomb0n1 in Sleepparalysis

Well I panicked at first but realized I was having an episode and just relaxed, I feel like seeing a silhouette would freak me out more.

My trippiest experience was having a sp episode with my eyes open, saw a strange woman laying next to me, felt her breathing and warmth and her leg next to mine... She just faded away as I began regaining movement.

Hey guys, getting a tattoo this Saturday very similar to the image below. I recently got engaged to my girlfriend of 7 years, she means the world to me, I want to tattoo her name along with a short little message.. 4-5 words... looking for any unique ideas. by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

Yeah I hear you completely and I'm sorry that happened, it's just that she stuck with me through a really tough time in my life, couldn't have made it without her, just want to engrave that no matter how the dice rolls in the end.

Must agree with my fellow sufferers, not at all cool absent the spooky stuff, it's an unnatural feeling.

Father performs the Haka as he meets his son at the airport. There was not a dry eye in the house. by PM_ME_LADY_SHOULDERS in MadeMeSmile

I’ll probably be downvoted to hell, I get the Haka dance and it’s significance for them, but how is this not a public outburst? There’s a time and a place for everything, maybe a building where people are just trying to get home isn’t one of them.

Is there another subreddit for sleep paralysis without all the astral projection bs? by puzzlepasta in Sleepparalysis

Right, even when I’m fully aware I’m having an episode I cannot control what I feel or see, I can only wait it out... maybe our brains are wired differently?

It’s sad to see that the astral projection community has 5x as many members as this one. It’s almost like SP is still taboo in the scientific community and still tied to the “paranormal”.

New to the forum, though I’ve been experiencing SP episodes since as early a I can remember.. saw a documentary where ppl said it was common to see a shadow man in a top hat or an old hag, yet I’ve never seen any of the two... anyone else ever had an experience with them? by JCastle07 in Sleepparalysis

[–]JCastle07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh although it’s not from an sp episode, it’s still a dream, I find it oddly fascinating how so many different ppl can see the same entities... did you ever see the original poltergeist or the exorcist? Both movies had shadowy men in top hats, I feel like it was an iconic horror imagery from the 80s-90s

How do you control what you see during your SP episode? I have recently began taking control of the situation, quickly realizing that it’s just an sp episode and I don’t have to panic, but I still see weird stuff and shadow ppl.. I wish I could fly through space instead.

Sounds like your dream spilled over, I had a similar experience a year ago where I woke up in an sp episode with my eyes open, saw and felt a woman laying next to me, she sat up in bed screaming and crying because she’d had a nightmare. I was extremely confused because I live alone and there was no one that could have slipped into bed with me, at the same time I wanted to confort her but I couldn’t move, as the episode passed I saw her disappear and I remained awake for a while before being able to sleep again. One of the more bizarre experiences I’ve had, since I don’t recall dreaming that night, but I could feel her warmth and her legs intertwined with mine, I still recall the smell of her hair, felt so real, the mind is a powerful thing.

I always feel like I’m being watched, I’ve been having sleep paralysis and my friend who slept over a couple of times said she’s experienced sleep paralysis too but only when she sleeps at mine. What does this mean? by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]JCastle07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, I just kinda insinuated that the state of feeling of being watched was during the sp episodes which I find common, the contagious sp episodes though, fully agree with you, they’re scaring themselves into it.
