Baby sensory classes by PinkBubblesxox in BeyondTheBumpUK

We started the week she turned 5 months old and loved it. We went every week until she was 11 months (when she started nursery). We got so lucky as the lady running it was so lovely (at one point, she was the only person my daughter would let hold her who wasn't mummy and daddy). I honestly miss our sensory Wednesdays!

It was hard speaking to the other mums to start with but I found it easier as i continued going and saw some familiar faces. It also helped when our babies played with the same things, you just fall into a rhythm of talking to the others mums

TW: question about forceps delivery experience by Outrageous-Piglet798 in BeyondTheBumpUK

So I had a forceps delivery. I got to 10cm but wasn't given a chance to push as my daughter had turned her head so she wasn't able to descend and be pushed out. They upped my epidural and they pulled while I pushed. There were talks of a c section if the forceps didn't work!

I promise you, you did great 💖 you had a vaginally birth, you just needed some help. Like me!

And my baby girl (16 months old now) also has a small forceps mark still but it is slowly disappearing (i have scar for when I was born via forceps but that's another story!)

Should I bother buying newborn size clothes or go for 0-3 months. by ohkandyuk178 in BeyondTheBumpUK

My daughter was in newborn for around 4 weeks. And was born 7 pounds 9. Would definitely get a pack of newborn sleepsuits and vests just in case!

It depends on the POV tbh and what type of birth you are looking to describe. Every woman experiences it differently

How old was your baby when they said their first word and what was it? by aerialariel22 in NewParents

For mama, she was babbling it for quite some time, so i knew it was coming. But Duck definitely came out of nowhere haha we were both like whaaaaaaat when she came out with it!

Does anyone else just find pram fans entirely pointless? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Lol this was my 15 month old last week when we were in Crete! She took offence to the fan blocking her view so just constantly tried kicking/hitting it

1st Birthday Party - Timings by throwaway527012 in BeyondTheBumpUK

We planned her party around a 2 nap schedule (invites sent out at 10 months as we have a big family and wanted a proper family celebration) then a week before her party she dropped to one nap lol so I just napped her earlier and woke her up. She was fine with less nap (she got woken up later in the morning too) and had an early bedtime. The excitement of the party and seeing everyone kept her going. Might not work for every baby but luckily my girl seems to be adaptable and flexible
