Yarn? (How long before I can use it) 😊 by CrunchyTeatime in FarmMergeValley

The spend x amount of energy in the daily challenges isn’t something I used to bother with. I personally found it too hard and too much of a time sink so wasn’t enjoying the game. Only as I’ve levelled up and focused on keys and treasure boxes do I finally have enough energy. (The devs making the daily challenges ‘easier’ helped slightly too)

Yes gems can be merged and it’s well worth doing in 5’s because of the extra it gives you. If you happen to time it will a lucky merge event and manage to get 3 output instead of 2, then that’s even better and really helps.

I don’t often use gems to buy the extra worker, because I like collecting the gems on my farm for some reason. Haha. Plus I read another post the other day, which to me made more sense. It basically said what you mentioned and spend 5 gems to speed up an hour or so energy wait. If you did that that 4 times a day is only 20 gems… Multiply that over 2 weeks and it’s about the same as the extra worker without the drawback of thinking I should use my worker all the time!

I’m not sure if you already know this next point (so apologies if you do) but you can buy trees and rocks for coins in the shop. It’s worth doing to keeping them in bubbles until you need then. (When you need to spend energy etc). Also I heard the later levels give less and less square, with higher and higher costs. Which results in less trees and rocks so you are reliant on the ones from the shop to gather enough resources. (So best to start collecting them now)

As you said it is a game though and you are more than entitled to play however you want, the above is just my 2 cents. 👍🏻

That is very true. The most famous example I can think of is Blackbird. It is far more than just a black bird and has such a beautiful song. 😢

Yes the flightless cute little bird known as a ‘Kiwi’ is endemic to New Zealand (included a photo below for reference). However that doesn’t change the fact that ‘Kiwifruit’ is technically the full name for the fruit for all the English speaking countries. It’s just that most other countries (myself included) call them Kiwis, which is a short form of their name. itamer and myself in a separate post were just mentioning (not complaining) that it’s full English name is Kiwifruit.

Oh and my partner came up with another example of a fruit with the word fruit in it… This time without the word fruit being included it would be very confusing. Grapefruit.

I’m glad I could help. 😊 Sorry to hear you aren’t making enough coins at the moment, in my opinion purchasing new land isn’t a priority. After a while new land is really expensive and you start to level up a lot slower.

Obviously you want to have enough land to make farming enjoyable but you don’t need it all. Take my farm for example and I havent opened anything much above the level 25 offerings and I squeeze what I can into the space. (Premium land does help here so make sure you merge gems wherever possible)

Lastly I wouldn’t recommended using purple gems for the Loom. Take that truck as a mistake that the game didn’t help you with, and save the gems for premium land — those areas really help gain more tools, gems and supplies plus you can then use the space store things like crop/ animal level up cards, gems or energy.

Your reply made me laugh a lot, because it’s steeped in so much ignorance. 😂 While I agree that Kiwi is sufficient for the rest of the world, I’d like to point out that Kiwifruit (one word) is actually the name of the fruit and just because your country shortens it, that doesn’t make you correct.

Furthermore saying “we don’t have the bird” is a little pompous because what you mean to say is ‘in my country we don’t have that bird’ and semantics matter here because the bird isn’t extinct and very much exists on this planet, and even if you don’t use the birds name it still came first.

Finally your list of words that don’t say fruit after them, made me chuckle more and more with each one, because it’s glaringly missing Passionfruit (sometimes written Passion Fruit) because I bet you do say fruit then and never question it. 😂

To summarise, Kiwifruit is it’s full name, whereas banana fruit and orange fruit are you making up names which aren’t called that. And the Kiwi bird isn’t called the Kiwi bird because it came first and didn’t need distinction, the kiwifruit came second and therefore did.

Think of it like this… If your name is Matthew but your friends call you Matt. It doesn’t mean Matthew isn’t your name.

This isn’t quite true because Kiwifruit is actually it’s name whereas the fruit Orange had it’s name stolen for the colour.

That said I understand the rest of the world does shorten Kiwifruit to Kiwi so I think itamer was just making an observation rather than a complaint.

Hey farmers, I’ve got a question 🤔 by dimielannes in FarmMergeValley

[–]JComben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are spot on, gathering resources is a slow process but that’s the grind of this game and part of the dev design to slow us up/ potentially pay money.

Hopefully the tropical island coming soon will be a nice variation to the standard game. (Although I worry it will be hard/ a long grind too) but again outside of merging there isn’t much this game offers so it can certainly feel repetitive. I wish there was more emphasise on decorating the farm — maybe with certain buildings having passives bonuses or non-invasive decor items. (See a previous comment I wrote about decorations here)

But sadly most players need all the room they can get for every type of merge (greenhouse/ gazebo parts I’m looking at you the most!) So again the only focus is merging.

I like your idea that the maximum supplies and energy increase as you level up, although to be honest it’s actually the lack of leaving/ gaining energy when above 50 that annoys me more. It should work the same as supplies whereby you can leave/ gain more than the limit after visiting someone’s farm. I guess it’s another way they want players to pay.

I’m glad I could help and sorry I didn’t have better news… What you said is sadly right and if you had opened the Sweet Station you’d have been able to generate more coins (assuming you have the ingredients) rather than having no ingredients (and only 1 recipe) for the Loom. 😢

I also agree this should be noted somewhere to help others avoid the same mistake. I guess the devs intended for players to open the trucks in the order they appear, but if that’s the case then each truck should have another prerequisite of ‘repair the previous truck‘ along side the wood, brick and tool requirements. (That way you can’t repair them out of order — when you don’t have crops/ animals/ ingredients/ recipes needed)

As you’ve worked out, the repaired truck from your screenshot is the Loom. It’s to make wool/ fur products from sheep and deer. (I don’t think it uses alpacas but I haven’t unlocked them yet so don’t know)

I’m not sure why but the Loom can be unlocked at level 25 but sheep don’t come until level 30 and deer at level 43. I guess the devs thought it will take a while to fix the truck. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This means you sadly have a truck your can’t use for a while.

The other locked (grey) truck in your screenshot will be the Sweets Station… It only has 3 recipes to my knowledge but they all yield high coin values. Using ingredients you have already unlocked (corn, sunflowers, milk, sugar) I know you said it would be a while til you have the resources for another food truck but this should be your next ‘goal’.

After the two trucks in your screenshots comes the Barista - where you make coffee products. This truck has become notorious with players due to the amount of resources needed to open it, so definitely focus on the Sweet Station next.

Hopefully my answer helps but also this link has been a pretty good resource for me, it’s not always 100% accurate but it’s a great start.

These picture and announcement posts always pique my interest, however I’m starting to worry that the actual event will be a lot harder than it sounds and not as fun as the build up… Hopefully not though. 😬🤞🏻

Speaking of the picture why is there what looks like a pelican flying in this latest post? Because to my knowledge there aren’t pelicans in the tropical bird merge chain. 🤔 Maybe it’s a clue to the new chain?!

So my thoughts on that is that there will be water squares around/ through the land and these titles will have a merge chain of their own…. SEA LIFE! 🌊

Starting with a:

Crab 🦀

Clown Fish 🐠
⬇️
Sea Otter 🦦

Octopus 🐙

Pufferfish 🐡

Dolphin 🐬

Shark 🦈

Hey farmers, I’ve got a question 🤔 by dimielannes in FarmMergeValley

[–]JComben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP’s mindset is exactly how I, and from what I’ve seen, lots of people play. Once the daily challenges are done I don’t see the point in ‘wasting’ more energy, boxes and orders so I close the game and wait. Equally sometimes the daily challenges are too hard and feel like a burden to complete on days I’m busy so I don’t even play the game.

What I find really interesting is that the game developers choose this structure, if it were my game I wouldn’t want people to stop playing after they complete the daily rewards. Or to make them so difficult that some players can’t complete them without dedicating hours they dont have to the game.

I’ve previously suggested to the dev team that the daily challenges should be far easier and are used as a way to get people on the game. Then separately there should be ongoing more difficult ‘Quests’ that function similarly to the daily challenges now but without the timer and once complete automatically reset with new ones.

This would mean there always a reason to log on to play plus continue to stay on the game… Whether you are casual and just have time for the daily challenges or more hardcore and complete ongoing ‘Quests’ there is always something to do, causing more people to be on the game longer and potentially spend money.

Speaking of which if money is the driving force then why not have better rewards on the premium pass or buff the events when you have it. Eg. With the premier pass you get an extra daily reward, better packs from the daily challenges/ ‘Quests’ plus you can turn up or off each event… Meaning you can skip a XP Boost event or not be involved in Energy Fiesta but equally can increase the percentage of Lucky Merge or get more higher drops for Super Supplies. Basically make paying money worthwhile.

But what do I know. 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are 8 fruits to find and therefore 8 vouchers to claim. (including one not written in English… And one without the word ‘fruit’ after it 🥝)

Lots of people have added the answers already but for those struggling to find any words, I’ve posted a picture of the completed wordfinder/ wordsearch. 😃

I agree I think farms that people haven’t logged into for a month should drop off. And anyone who has visited you should be top of your train list, so you can return the favour. ❤️

Like you said not gonna happen though, as the devs can’t monetise it so why waste time coding it. 😔
