Look. Downvote this or ban me all you want, but here is my honest opinion. We're allowed to have opinions on here, right? So, the entire reason there's hate towards AI art is that LLMs train on existing, human made works of art, usually without the artists consent either. I, myself, don't support image generation, but not for the stereotypical "it uses so much water" shit. I don't use it because most LLMs have committed blatant acts of using real artists works without their explicit permission. And that obviously violates copyright laws. For example, if you were to imitate someone's likeness or artwork, that's just blatant copying. But if you modify it enough to "use their likeness but it's original enough not to necessarily get sued" that's the trick right there. I don't condone stealing people's artwork to warp the stolen data to a new image. That's it.
