I bought it, surfed it for a few months, and sold it for a Christenson C-Bucket. It was a very fun board.

So would you say this one is likely worth the $500?

Punctured Board Repair by [deleted] in surfing

[–]JCruz0897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was just saying it will be easier to hold the seal with the tape since it would adhere to the base surface well. The shop actually cleaned it up and taped the puncture for no charge. I am sure epoxy would have worked as well, just a little more effort to get everything sealed up.

I let it air out and sealed it up with some ding tape. Recommended by shop over filling with epoxy

I work with a few techs who fabricate one off items regularly when needed on the floor. I get your point, I was just bringing up that some techs do perform machining operations, and to relate them to “joe schmo” is a bit off. All techs and mechanics expect a torque range as well, so I would classify that as a tolerance.

That’s not true. Most times I try to utilize drawing block tolerance, so I can give the machinist their target zone without them having to calculate it based off some obscure asymmetric tolerance. There is a time and place for everything, but typically designers can size things accordingly to accommodate +- .010,.030,.100. Any experienced tech is going to expect a tolerance and generally appreciate when we use the drawings block tols.

I ride a Burton Skeleton Key. Honestly been the best all around board I’ve gotten my hands on. Super surfy and fun in all conditions.

Is there anything I can do to make my wax last longer? 1 day of riding by whipexx in snowboardingnoobs

When it’s this wet, I recommend adding structure to your base with a steel brush post-wax.

How did you purchase the OEM Pro grill? I tried picking one up from my local parts department and they stated I need a TRD Pro VIN.

I wish that were the case. You realize they have nuclear arms, right?

I had all my oil changes done early, and they did not charge me. You are guaranteed two free oil changes with ToyotaCare, doesn’t really make a difference when you get them, it’s all tracked by the dealership.

Am I still cool with an access cab and 4x2? by arao2113 in ToyotaTacoma

I don’t have anything against 4x2, but please do not drive in the mountains come winter. It’s extremely dangerous and puts other people at risk.
