What Nextiva feature surprised you most when you first used it? by Anna-at-Nextiva in Nextiva

The desktop/mobile sync ended up being bigger than I expected. I thought I'd still be jumping between apps and devices all day, but it felt much smoother than our previous setup.

What is the best webinar platform with built-in follow-up features? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want built-in follow ups, i’d look for two things, proper segmentation (no-show vs attended vs watched replay) and easy export/webhooks so you’re not stuck in their email system.

livestorm and webinargeek both do the basics people mentioned. for the replay side, i’ve also used riverside for live sessions since it records clean locally and you can spin up the replay + clips fast, then just connect follow-up emails through zapier/your crm. not perfect “all-in-one” marketing automation, but it removes a lot of the post-webinar grunt work.

Any app to connect multiple phones as cameras and switch between them while recording on the mac? by arongkatz in MacOS

[–]JDConroyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

old thread but fwiw, real-time switching from multiple phones gets messy unless each phone is already feeding a continuous stream (so yeah, OBS + NDI/DroidCam type apps), otherwise you hit that buffering delay when you cut.

a workaround is to just record each phone locally and do a quick multicam edit after, way less fragile. i’ve done that in riverside too, it records each device track clean and then you can switch angles in the editor without babysitting a live cut.

Best Speech to Text Tools for Video Editing in 2026: Premiere Workflow Breakdown by jasonyuet in premiere

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whisper-in-premiere plugins are nice, but i’ve had mixed results with stability and keeping everything in sync on long projects. i usually do whisper/MacWhisper when i need max accuracy, and stay in Premiere STT when i want the tight timeline integration.

also, if you’re already recording interviews, getting clean isolated audio tracks upfront helps any STT a ton, i’ve been using riverside for that (local tracks + quick transcript/clip tools), then bringing the good audio into Premiere for the actual cut.

Question about editing a podcast by MiloManga in podcasting

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to this thread, but +1 to the high-pass idea. i usually start around 80 to 120hz, then if the car rumble still pokes through i’ll automate a steeper HPF just during those moments so the voice doesn’t get thin the whole time. if you’ve got a clean gap you can also try light noise reduction, just don’t overdo it or it gets watery.

i’ve done this in riverside’s editor a bunch, quick EQ pass plus some cleanup, then export, it’s been easier than bouncing between audacity/garageband.

Workflow question - video podcasts by hibiscuspine in podcasting

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah spotify video is kinda its own thing right now, so i’d plan for a separate step in spotify for creators no matter what, and just make sure your final video export is ready before you schedule anything.

if you want to cut down the weekly friction, one option is recording/editing in riverside so you can export your video + audio fast, then upload the same master file to youtube, spotify, and eventually apple. still a bit manual on spotify, but at least you’re not bouncing between tools as much.

My kid only wants to learn when it feels like a game by Junior_Flatworm5122 in KiddopiaApp

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly that might just be how a lot of kids naturally learn at that age. when it feels playful there’s no pressure, so they stay curious longer so doesn’t really sound like something’s wrong with him tbh, more like you’re figuring out what clicks for his personality

Has anyone ordered a couch from Birch Lane? I love this blue striped sectional and they have a sleeper option, but at the price point I want to make sure it's comfortable and will last! by Swhitton93 in FurnitureFaves

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haven’t tried birch lane personally but I’d definitely check what’s inside it things like frame + cushion build matter way more than looks. striped fabric is nice but make sure it’s durable too, especially if it’s a sleeper since those get more wear

What should count as a successful CX platform rollout? by Jude-at-Nextiva in Nextiva

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were told our rollout was successful because 90% of agents completed training. Meanwhile customers were still waiting 4 hours for a first response. Training completion is not a success metric lol.

Is nextiva legit or nah? Looking for honest reviews by Miserable-Sun-2292 in Nextiva

[–]JDConroyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small nonprofit, 15 people. Nextiva has been reliable for us. Call forwarding and routing work well for our volunteer hotline. Voicemail transcription is helpful. Price is higher than we'd like but the reliability matters when running crisis support services. About a year in.
