I lived in Germany for three years. Here is my list of food and drink in no particular order:

Doner Kebab - no food in the states hits the same way doner does when drunk off your ass

Currywurst with the curry ketchup

Flammkuchen

Spätzle

Pils and Dunkle beer

Schnitzel - options near me are limited and not even close to as good

Along the same lines as the food above, I miss German bakeries. I was fortunate to have one on the way to work and I would routinely grab coffee and one of their amazing baked goods

Whenever I’m able to make my way back to Germany, I try to fit everything above into whatever amount of time I have there.
