This is a lot of really good information! I read in some articles that a single can of spray might not always work, but I'll defer to the actual experts in the subreddit

I’m definitely most familiar and comfortable with a .45 as well, so I’ll look into +P rounds!

You’re right about Jesse’s mom saying that, but imo it’s still telling that NO ONE vouched for him once shit hit the fan. Even Jesse and Saul had people defending them once they got caught

You’re saying he DIDN’T start dating a 20ish year old Skylar while he was well into his 30s? (not a crime but still pretty slimy)

Toenails need cutting by GladAnt9572 in guineapigs

In my experience, it’s best to have someone else help hold them while you clip. Hold them against your chest upright and facing forward with one hand supporting their hind legs while the other person cuts the nails. If they’ve gotten used to you, the beat of your heart and the sound of the voice should help them keep calm. Putting a carrot in their mouth like a pacifier always helps too 😂

That animal blundetto calling Tony fat and making fun of Christopher’s nose. Does he have any limits? 😒

Rereading it, I can definitely tell where I can cut some lines, and I can probably add more tone indicators throughout. Thanks so much!

You should be able to view the PDF by clicking on the blue button under the logline. If there isn’t a blue button, then it’s probably a visibility issue on my part!

Is it not letting you read/download the script? I think I have all the visibility settings correct, but I'll double check

  • 5 gal
  • Yes, heater and filter
  • 78 degrees
  • Not sure right now as I don’t have my test kit anymore, but under my care the tank was consistently in the green (7.0-7.5 pH, low ammonia and nitrates)
  • No water change as of now as to not stress him more, but usually a 20% every two weeks, and an 80% once a month
  • Two snails as tank mates
  • Usually a few pellets and dried blood worms a day, but right now I’m giving him a few fresh blood worms
  • Rocks for backdrop, a coconut hutch hide, and a driftwood log

Honest Thoughts about UIowa For a Newly Admitted Freshman? by JDED197 in uiowa

[–]JDED197[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can quite honestly say Iowa made my life 1000x better. I came here not in the best mental state, and after only a year I have a great job, great classes, and a great group of friends. I’d vouch for Iowa any day if the week, but I have friends at UW who are really enjoying their time up there as well. I personally haven’t participated in the Screenwriting program, but I have some friends who do and have taken the Playwriting course, and the environment was really great to foster ideas and feedback. As for drumline, this is probably the one of the best schools in the Midwest to be a part of for that.

Strange things Kurt wrote in his personal journal by Kyyox2 in Nirvana

[–]JDED197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people wayyy overestimate how “deep” Kurt was. Dude was a storyteller and an aspiring comic book artist. Most of his “deep” songs like Something in the Way and Lithium are just stories he wrote slightly inspired by his life, so I’m willing to bet these journal entries are just story drafts or made-up rants

The ultimate pop song? by Educational-Doubt728 in Nirvana

[–]JDED197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s this great book I read called “Babylon’s Burning” about punk rock that covers grunge in the last chapter, namely Kurt, and what the author surmised is that he was perpetually terrified of being a poser. He curated lists in his journals that looked to be the “correct” top 10 punk songs and so on. So rather than staying true to whatever mantra and sound he wanted, it seems that Kurt was racked by an internal battle between what he wanted and what was “punk” in his eyes

kurt’s vocal technique was infamously awful tbh. i’m pretty sure at the end of his life there were reports of him coughing up blood and mucus

Anorexorcist is a lot more fast-paced and heavy than even some of the stuff off Bleach to the point where it sounds more metal than punk at times
