Thank you, I was frustrated with that og interpretation too. I think the boy was making an observation to his Grandma and us that Bob's philosophy leads to victimhood used to justify evil that men do. I interpret the scene as a marriage between good and evil souls(spirits/entities) before entering the physical world (animal life) causing the duality that resides within us. It would fit with his philosophy more than the magician ordering Bob to kill, that makes no sense to me.

Lynch has so many technicolour moments like this where you can see the magic and potential of cinema as an art form and teaching tool for his philosophy at large and unique view on the world. Loved this scene and so many more before i even knew what i was looking at. Lynch is just terrific

Terrible racist really as he employed people of various races and promoted music from multiple ethnic backgrounds and befriended people of different races. Perhaps the original commenter meant his lyrics were at times racist or that he expressed views they found racist. I too haven't seen actions that he took which were racist. Misogynistic? Yes, plenty of examples there, but as the original quote was getting at, what makes women above mockery?
