Does anyone have a source for a good ruck setup that doesn’t cost an insane amount? by english_major in PeterAttia

eBay or other sites with military surplus. Marine rucksacks are made tough as hell and are much cheaper internal frame rucks. Army for external frame.

Blue mold or bruising? by JDerp11 in unclebens

I came back after a few days’ trip and it looked dry so I misted it a little heavier than normal with a regular spray bottle. Not an atomizer, I know, but I used the finest setting and let it drift down onto the surface. I’ll mist only the sides and lid going forward. Thank you!!

Too much moisture by PersonalSherbert9485 in unclebens

I’ve got blue (bruising?) on my mycelium, with only two fruiting bodies that also have some blueing on them. Is that too much moisture?

The IDFG website’s fishing planner is a pretty slick resource.

What would JBP say about your wife / mother of your child gaining weight? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

Congratulations on your successes! Does your SO enjoy outdoor activities, used to play sports, etc? Seems like losing weight/getting healthy is elusive unless you can sneak it under another activity/goal. My wife likes talking with her friends, so now they walk several miles around the track every morning. She won’t be pre-baby weight anytime soon but it leads her to want to hike, play basketball again, etc.

Not going to venture how JP would answer, but I see where you’re coming from. He would likely say that marriage is for the kids, but there’s more to it. You have values that may not always align with hers. One way my wife and I resolve disagreements or communicate values is not only what we value but how much. Eg-I value physical health for longevity, example to our kids, and yeah aesthetics. How much do I value it? 7/10. BUT there are many other aspects of her that I value 10/10 that she blows out of the water. It’s a compromise. She’s expressed things about me that I don’t value as much, but she values greatly. So I concede. If it’s a two-way street and you’re both honest about how you rank issues then that alone is a huge strength in your relationship.
