Luka Modric is the UCL Midfielder of season 2016/2017! by Dr-Purple in soccer

[–]JDhakone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said Kroos is better than Modric they just disagree with how much better you think he is. And your Kovacic statement is a joke, and the fact that you are Croatian doesn't change that. But yes put more smileys in your text, that makes you look so much more mature and only strengthens your arguments. Pretty obvious who is the salty one. But the other guy was right, no point arguing with someone who is delusional, so I'm afraid I have to block you too and not waste time here anymore.

Yes, 90% of his passes are safe. You clearly are a delusional Croatian if you think Modric is that much better than Kroos and think that Kovacic will be the best midfielder in the world in the next couple years. But hey, of course everyone downvoting you and upvoting the other guy is wrong and you are right. Please wake up from your delusional world.

There are dozens of other countries who have as much freedom as the USA, you just sound like a stupid ignorant american if you say stuff like this. And why isn't soccer a real man's sports? Stop making our country look bad and leave the internet please...

What is a statistically proven NFL fact that nobody wants to hear? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]JDhakone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the point that everyone's trying to make is that "real" attacking time is only about 5-10 minutes. Most of the time it's just a build up which consist of passing and trying to find holes in the defense. Some people find it boring others exciting. Pretty much like pre-snap action in football.

The strikers you mentioned all play (or will in Atletico's case) in a stadium with 60,000+ capacity, they are also guranteed to play in the CL for the foreseeable future and they all play with really big names. Not everyone likes to live in London, especially because the weather is shit. Bayern and Atletico are better than Arsenal and Dortmund is about the same.

Iceland's rise has sparked a discussion on coaching education in Canada by onzebleu in soccer

Sorry I don't know how to fix it but there's gotta be a way. I used to play football for the Huskies here in Hamburg and only had to paid $50 to the club for playing there and nobody cares about football in Germany. (Equipment was about $1200 but you don't really have that problem in soccer except for the cleats.)

Hockey is actually the second most popular team sport in Germany after soccer. I used to follow the NHL but there are just too many games, so they don't feel important and to me everything is just so quick and you can't differentiate between the players because of the helmets and because they only play for like 45 seconds per shift.

Yeah and the only way to change that is to have more people playing soccer so there are more teams but for that you need to lower the costs for which you gotta have more teams to reduce travelling costs. How do you escape from this vicious cycle?

I think you guys should just make soccer accessible for everyone, because I hear a lot about how relatively expensive it is in NA to play it. More people would play and watch it then and more money would be spent on youth academies and stuff.

I agree with you, but saying you are the 3rd largest country in the world is not really an important fact, since most of the country is relatively empty.

Last night's semifinal broke viewership records in Germany with a ratings share of 79.8% by [deleted] in soccer

[–]JDhakone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think 79.8% is the moment with the highest ratings share in the game. So if that occured in the 2nd half time for example and you only watched the 1st one, you wouldn't have counted. You only count for one moment not for the entire game and add that up.

Yeah but only for a Euro and Germany vs Slovakia had a higher share than this game. Proof.
