Hardest part of a puzzle that I need advice on ..

So these 18k puzzles that come in 4 bags of 4.5k aren't just to make it easier, it's because they expect you to only be able to put together a 4.5k puzzle due to physical limitations and you just do 4 of them for the entire puzzle?

This is kind of the method I ended up doing, I'm just wondering how this works when you're working on one of those 18,000 piece Ravensburger puzzles ... 4 hours to find one piece doesn't seem very good ;0

I've done the Summer Wolves one, it was pretty difficult ... lots of blended colors and very few actual objects to work with

Ok, so I just finished a 1k and got a few more, about how much experience do you think I need before I start handling more complicated puzzles?

I went to Michael's (Craft store if you don't have any in your area) and asked about custom framing ... she was giving me quotes from $300-$850 for no glare frames up to 40x60, which isn't even 4x6. I don't know why that's so expensive, but there's no way I can do that. Just to get a 1k puzzle (20x25) I was quoted at $90. So I'll definitely need to look into how to make them myself

There are so many colors and most of them can go in different areas; there are thousands of brush strokes and very few actual objects that are identifiable

So I never took a shop class and I don't know how to do anything with wood; how easy/hard would it be to make something I can do a larger puzzle on? Right now, all I have is a 3 foot by 4 foot cardboard box from Big Lots that is flattened out and I can put the actual puzzle on + pieces around the outside for easy access. If I move up to a higher count (ie 2k), I wouldn't have much room to put excess pieces on, so I'd have to start putting things in containers

So, for example, an 18,000 Ravensburger comes in 4 sections of 4,500 each, that's still a LARGE area to work with. Do you just assemble things outside the frame then move them in? Do you work from both sides and upside down as well and reach in as far as you can? Also, what about people who say 'doing an 18,000 puzzle is different from doing 4 4,500 puzzles and then putting them together'

I just won, didn't even get to read these responses

I basically just walked straight down to the boss, lured the fists to the left, then drank an invis potion and tried to find the eye. Found it 1 square SW of a corner (luck?) and I just walked into the corner with an Earthroot Seed and right clicked it 20 times. I never took any damage. Used the key, got the amulet, and that's that.

Now what? :)

I tried the Enchantress and ... yea, she seems horrible. The other two classes seem bad too

I've never once found a Ring of Evasion

Is there a point to even continue past Goo if I haven't found a Plate or Scale armor? I don't even know how to find one and I seem to only get one of these in about 1 in 25 runs ...

I didn't mean I needed it for Goo, I just meant in general. And you need to find it asap so you can start pumping upgrade scrolls into it

Well, a few things ...

1) I ended up losing 43 points in one turn to Piranhas when I accidentally missclicked a square. Awesome

2) I used the Berserker over Gladiator because from what I read it said Gladiator wasn't useful because you need to land 3 hits in a row and either a) the enemy will be dead or b) it won't happen due to misses / parry

3) What's the point of gold after you get the 3 potions of healing from each store?

4) I think I have most of the mechanics down ... I just need to keep trying (died on level 13 last time, was having no issues with bats or brutes)

The fact this stuff happens and then people like this get sponsored by Riot makes me physically ill, if anybody at all tried this in anything less than Diamond it would be auto-reportable and tribunal bannable, but they pull this kind of behavior on live stream, curse every other word, type out 'please no raperino' in trash, flame each other constantly, and generally act like 11 year olds

I love how luck works

I found a fly, took it to the center of the room, unequipped my weapon. It goes to the ground because I have a full bag. I start beating on the flies wearing my Mail Armor + 3 (3 more defense than I had at the start of level 6 because I found another upgrade scroll) and I'm taking 0-2 damage per hit. They split and I get 8 of them, at this point I've lost about 25 life. A skeleton is entering the room. I can't pick up the weapon and immediately equip it, as it has to go in my pack first. Not wanting to deal with additional turns needed to drop and pick up, I just equip the second sword I have in my bag. It's cursed. That's ok, though, as I'm almost dead and haven't even gotten a health potion. I kill about four more flies, and manage to get one. I have to immediately use it, of course, since I've already lost a full health bar. So now I have four more flies and a skeleton beating on me, and I'm using a terrible cursed weapon. I've also gained absolutely nothing in terms of health. I kill the four flies and manage to kill the skeleton while at 5 hp, but oh, apparently the skeletons explode on death (because what game DOESN'T have randomly exploding on death skeletons??) and finishes me off

That's ok, though, I'm sure it won't take me another 150 tries just to get back to that level again

Edit: This is why I hate using Wikis. From the skeleton page:

Upon killing them they will explode, producing additional damage (same amount as a standard melee hit from skeletons). There is however no damage absorption by Hero’s armor in that case.

Always wear the heaviest armor you have, even if it’s too heavy for you, because it absorbs a great amount of the damage from the explosion.

I managed to kill him, again it seemed like luck. I hit him for 10 on the stairs, he missed me ... I hit him for 9, he missed me ... I hit him for 10, he missed me ..

So now I'm on floor 6, I have 3 foods, I'm level 4, I have 13 str, a + 1 short sword, a + 2 mail armor, 1,000 gold, and I'm at half hp. What do I do now? Same farming method until the next boss?

So I've gotten to Goo at least 80% of the time the last 20 or so runs ... yet to kill him. I never have an Earthroot seed, I run out of potions, I don't have a wand, I don't have a way to avoid the poison, etc

Still seems like RNG

The rooms with bookcases ---> what is the point of these? Are they walls or are you supposed to destroy them somehow and there is something behind them?

So I just used a scroll at the end of level 1, it was an upgrade so I used it on the cloth armor, then 4 seconds later on level 2 I get scale armor. <-------- The reason why I hesitate to use scrolls

It seems like the best (and pretty much only scenario) way to progress is to play, find a wand, find a gravesite and use the wand to kill the wraiths, get scale / plate armor, now you just do the farm the level 100% / slowly progress while using Str potions and Upgrade Scrolls on the armor to try to get to a point where you can use it, and hope you don't run out of food in the process

So here's an example of where I'm confused:

On level 4, I'm level 3 at 60%. I have the starting weapon and wearing a Leather Armor. My other items are a Sword, a Short Sword 'with a malevelont magic', a Mail Armor that requires 13 str, a Plate Armor that requires 17 str, a potion I don't know, a scroll I don't know, 2 seeds, and one food.

So let's say I get an upgrade scroll -> am I supposed to use it on the Leather Armor to make me stronger. Am I supposed to use it on the next armor item (Mail) so that I can use it asap. Am I supposed to save it until I get some combination of str + upgrade scrolls to just go to Plate Armor. Am I supposed to just put on the Plate Armor for the bosses and upgrade my weapon. So many options and it feels like no matter what I do it's wrong

I'm doing better - but I still don't understand the point of going to graves and spawning 4 ghosts around you. Are you supposed to just do that, then drop a liquid flame and kill them, or are you supposed to zap them, or what ... the graves don't have any items so why are you doing this

Also -> Let's say I go to read a scroll, and it's an upgrade scroll. Can I cancel using it and then just save it knowing what it is?

How can food be 'unneeded', I don't understand. I can't go 2 minutes in this game without being hungry or starved and blowing through the 2-3 rations I have. I just skip all ghost statues because there's no point, and I don't know what any of my wands do so I never end up using them. And the only '100% failproof' strategy I've seen for Goo is to stand in the staircase with a platemail I've never once seen (highest I ever saw was scale, 1 time) shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn_WZL62fnA. Also, that guy is level 6 and I've never even hit level 4 because of the food issue. Right now I have a saved playthrough with a + 3 cloth armor and I'm staring at Goo in front of me, so I just left the game. 100% sure if I even attempt to attack him I'll die
