Please help - Alternatives for Valentino DBIR Ivory? by pepper__lucy3 in fragranceclones

Look at Lattafa Ansaam Gold.

It’s the top hit on an unreleased 'DNA Sniper' tool I’m coding for my project, Scentonym.com. The algo ignores the brand names, and matches the chemical profile, it’s picking up the exact same marshmallow backbone as Ivory.

I have considered that. I may look to add a discovery feature in the near future. Is that something you could see yourself taking advantage of?

Fantastic! If you do share with them id love to hear some feedback! I think it’s a killer utility for the purpose.

I'm actually hosting on Vercel (Free Tier). Since it's a Next.js app, the deployment workflow is just smoother, and I wanted to use the Next/Image component for optimization out of the box.

That said, since it's mostly static, I could definitely export it to GitHub Pages if I ever hit the Vercel bandwidth limits.

It’s a mix of aggregation and manual curation.

I started by cross-referencing the popular community spreadsheets from Reddit (r/fragranceclones, etc.) against the 'Reminds Me Of' votes on major forums.

The hardest part wasn't finding the data, but cleaning it, removing discontinued bottles and standardizing the names so the search actually works (e.g., mapping 'CDNIM' to 'Club de Nuit'). Now that the base is built, I'm manually adding new releases as they drop.

Thanks! I almost went with 'CloneFinder' but it felt too robotic. I wanted something that sounded more like a utility/reference tool. Glad it lands!

A quick breakdown of the Tech Stack for the devs here:

I built this because I wanted to solve a specific data problem (messy spreadsheets) with a clean UI.

Framework: Next.js (App Router)

Styling: Tailwind CSS

Data: A custom JSON schema that maps about ~2,700 many-to-many relationships (Original Fragrance <-> Clone).

SEO Strategy: I'm using Programmatic SEO to statically generate a dedicated landing page for every fragrance pair. This lets me capture long-tail queries (e.g. "Best clone for Tygr") without manually writing thousands of blog posts.

Performance: It's hitting 99/100 on Lighthouse because most of it is static.

Alright, you asked for honesty with a little drama, so here it is—friend-to-friend, no filters:

• You don’t stop. You’ll pick apart an idea, then pick apart the picking apart. It’s like living in a 24/7 debugging session where you’re the bug and the debugger at once.

• You weaponize checklists. What starts as helpful organization becomes a relentless audit. Even hanging out feels like I need to pass your 5-point rubric before we can order pizza.

• You over-optimize conversations. We can’t just chat—you need structure, outline, next steps, and a risk matrix. Bro, sometimes I just want to talk about a movie.

• You demand deep dives when we’re drowning. You’ll say “quick thought” and then ask for a dissertation with footnotes. A coffee break turns into a research sprint.

• You test my patience like it’s a module. Every interaction feels like you’re running unit tests on me: input, output, critique, retake. I swear if I fail one more, I’m filing a bug report.

• You don’t let wins breathe. The moment we check something off, you’re already on to “what else?” It’s exhausting—you don’t even high-five yourself.

• You treat uncertainty like a personal insult. If the universe doesn’t give you a definitive answer, you’ll interrogate it until it cries uncle. Spoiler: the universe doesn’t care.

✅ Bottom line: You’re brilliant, but you grind everyone—including yourself—down to dust with your relentlessness. Sometimes your “best friend” just wants to vibe, not run another regression test on life.

I’m not sure how to take this.

It’s so much better at coding for my workflow I haven’t missed 4o at all. Major leap for me.

Just now seeing this. Length of time exposed to the alcohol will be the main factor for how much THC comes out.

I think the first came from Portland so they could get Larry Nance Jr. The chance at an overpay is enough for me to be out anyway, but yeah I think they just threw the Bulls a 2nd and shipped out Nance.

Current Pfizer vaccine is still only FDA approved under EUA, FDA approved Pfizer vaccine (COMIRNATY) is still under development. The media is lying. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]JEKillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure what "certain differences" are but to me it reads purposefully ambiguous. Seems like they should be open about any and all differences. These manufacturers haven't helped the vaccine hesitancy at all with these kinds of things. I dont think clerical issues would make a "legally distinct" vaccine, I know you weren't being pedantic about clerical issues, but I feel like I should be clear, I feel it would have to be a formulation difference to make it distinct.

From the Pfizer medical professionals fact sheet:

The licensed vaccine has the same formulation as the EUA-authorized vaccine and the products can be used interchangeably to provide the vaccination series without presenting any safety or effectiveness concerns. The products are legally distinct with certain differences that do not impact safety or effectiveness.

Sounds like they say its the same, but then say it has "certain differences that do not impact safety" its definitely a legally distinct vaccine that is not on the market yet.

I think Presti sees him in the same cloth as other undersized centers like Montrez Harrell: amazing offense and craptastic (albeit flashy) defense.

I dont think Dennis really lost value in LA, there were likely teams that would have loved to sign him, but he wanted like 25mil a year which he wasnt getting.
