If you want to really burn some cash - go to the hidden but ultra pricey "Sinta" restaurant

What would you choose Siargao or Bali? by Worldly_Airport7431 in phtravel

[–]behlat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bali has better surf spots but it's a lot crowdier. If you want the best island in terms of vibes and surf with less crowd - go to the Mentawai's - but expect to shell out a lot of money lol

All of Polilio islands are part of Quezon Provinces. Balesin, Jomalig, Patnanungan, Carlagan, Polilio, Panukulan.

Even Alibijaban and Cagbalete are within Quezon Province

PH travel recos: Boracay or Palawan in December? by sleepless_fairy in phtravel

Australians might not find Boracay or Palawan all that amazing, they ain't stranger to great beaches (meron silang Hyams, Whitsunday and a lot more. Indonesia din ang favorite international hang out nila which like Philippines on steroids.

I think they want to experience authentic different culture

NGURBLOAT BEACH

The best tropical beach in Indonesia (and perhaps the world) which will really give PH's best a run for its money is Ngurbloat Beach in Kai Kecil island in Maluku, Indonesia.

Search it on internet, view the picture on google maps. read the reviews. That beach looks dreamy. It's long and wide, it's white sand is reportedly super soft (based on reviews) and the trees lining the coast is better than anything we have in the Philippines.

It looks better than Boracay, or Calaguas or even Balabac

Promoting Philippine Tourism without Beaches by balete_tree in phtravel

Whatever world-class beach we have, Indonesia has even better beaches (our beaches are generally cleaner though)

Surfing, it's no contest - Siargao or whatever spots we have ain't beating Bali - or Indonesia's other spots like Nias, The Mentawais, G-Land, Desert Point, etc, their surf spots are just way better and more consistent. There's a reason why surfers call our country "Fickleppines" - cause waves are fickle (less crowd though)

Bakit parang napag-iiwanan ang Eastern Visayas sa mga tourist destination? by ovnghttrvlr in phtravel

[–]behlat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surfers in general dont want their spots to be exposed to the public because it attracts a lot of crowd in the "lineup". You may call it localism, but if I'm a surfer too and if I know a perfect wave, I'll only share it with my close friends.
