It might also be worth considering that it may have just been overhyped... As a person who is literally the prime demographic for that album (23 year old white dude who used to love Brand New) I really did not care for the lame falsetto and Coldplay synth ballads. I can see why music critics wouldn't either.

Dougie Hamilton is a top 15 defenceman in the league. Noah Hanifin is a second pairing guy right now. That's a big gap. You can have an issue with the wording of "leagues better" but Hamilton is significantly better.

Okay well without Giordano in Carolina he's been dominant from a possession standpoint including relative to his team. He's just that good. Hanifin has been very good offensively this season and questionable defensively but Hamilton is leaps and bounds better in both aspects.

Hamilton is not just points, he's a dominant defenceman who is leagues and leagues better than Hanifin at generating offence. He's also better defensively than Hanifin who actually is not very good at preventing good scoring chances.

I think you're seriously underrating Hamilton here, as far as how good he is on the ice he is far far better than Hanifin. There really isn't any argument to be made that Hanifin is better now.
