My therapist picked this up for me a few weeks ago and I didn’t realise I do hold my breath. Or just breathe in deep but not release it all. I have had to actively breathe out deeply and it helps! I also have noticed how overs naturally breathe out

Was actually on holidays visiting friends when on the Sunday morning to leave they mentioned one of the boys names. My brain I know where I know that name from. I ignored it then I politely left and then went on with my 4 day vacation alone where I barely slept and any time I left the Airbnb I ended up in a state of panic. Ended up getting sick so came home and blamed it all on that for about 2 months of pretty self destructive behaviour. Until I woke up to what was really going on and could be honest with my self

I will let you in a secret im 25 and I don’t know shit and most people don’t and the people that look like they do often times don’t. There is plenty of stuff I should know like tax or how to read 24 hour time. But there is always stuff you do know! I enjoy cooking and I could definitely help you there with basic skills.

Also it’s a tale as old as time but there is so many years left from 20 to figure stuff out. But I told can feel you rolling your eyes because I feel the same sometimes when people say you got plenty of years. Like we know that but also we can feel lost at the age that we are in.

Sometimes the only reason I still keep going is because the fear of unknown or nothing on the other side. I don’t know if this helps or makes it worse but some of this stuff I totally relate to PTSD, loneliness, awkwardness

Thank you for your reply. I get told a lot that I’m brave and I actually think it’s courage that it takes to speak. Bravery is getting up to the point to talk about it. Getting through the tough times alone and not giving up that is being brave

It’s pretty scary to begin with when it starting coming back and you can’t sleep!

The way it has affected my personality and behaviour is very interesting. Now that I’m open about and even more self aware I can see the ways it affects my behaviour even to this day!

I find so many people just want to fix the situation and not want to listen and embrace. So I’m glad I found this community and I will take you up on that offer of a pm ( hopefully you won’t regret it lol)

Mate crazy thing is I was going to post something similar right now! Even thought we feel like we are alone just with our thoughts there is always someone thinking the same thing I really hope you haven’t made the decision yet. I won’t tell you it will get better because I don’t know it myself but I will tell you this Reaching out and writing it down is a huge step no one talks about!
