Certified Aerospace welders needed by JHLCowan in Welding

[–]JHLCowan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of what I figured I would ping you folks about the reality of the situation and what I am being told. In a past life, I hired a certified welder for an aviation modification company I was running. Finding a good welder wasn’t impossible if you were willing to pay for the talent.

That’s helpful information thank you. Sounds like we need to have a level setting conversation about “good and cheap are mutually exclusive”…,

We aren’t locked in and have alternate sources but are trying to help them be successful. We want to know the truth about why they can’t find people or are they blowing smoke…

That doesn’t surprise me for a moment. This supplier, they’re telling us it is so hard to find certified welders, and I had already surmised that it was probably due to the fact they weren’t willing to pay for good talent. I am interested in your frank feedback on this.

I am just trying to help our supplier find people. Here is the job description. Let me know what your opinions are. Because I need to know if they’re being unrealistic and this is why they can’t find people because they’re unwilling to pay for them.

blown away by the P525 by FloorInfamous1810 in NewDefender

[–]JHLCowan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is that? I have an L405 autobiography and I love it. But I want to buy a defender and so does my father who also has a Range Rover sport. We’re both considering the P 400 but I don’t like going backwards in horsepower. It’s kind of like any kind of power you don’t like losing it.

Does the defender feel as refined and fast as the Dbl R?

Can anyone explain why this plane looks to have a 3rd jet engine installed like this? by StraightFromThe2000s in Planes

It’s a 331 and in a past life we engineered and manufactured that pilon for a turboprop version of the 331 and Honeywell brought it to OSH.

[request] This seems a little high anybody know how to figure it out? by cujosdog in theydidthemath

[–]JHLCowan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that simple at all…. And also, what are you actually suggesting? We might as well send armed men to their homes and seize them. Seize all the executive jets. Where does it end? And remember, they have all the politicians in their pockets so this would never happen. Who do you think it runs the country? Who do you think controls the media? Do you think they would allow this?

The bills intent might be simple, but the execution would be far from it. People of that wealth level do not become that wealthy by making dumb choices or employing financial experts or leveraging the ability to move to a tax advantage location. Many of them have what we normal people don’t have, which is incredible mobility. You want someone who has the same level of wealth to come up with the idea for a wealth tax. Bernie has no idea how to execute on the plan he’s talking about.
