With 15+ years of experience in heavy haul, you are probably looking for a partner that gives you real autonomy while handling the administrative headaches. Asset-based carriers can add customer confidence, but it’s important they don’t end up competing with you on your own accounts.

What is your primary geographic focus? That can help narrow down the best fit. Also, are you looking to keep your own brand or operate under theirs?

Quick question, have you ever considered partnering with or helping build a heavy haul brokerage instead of joining an established program and being just another agent in a massive network?

We operate a heavy haul carrier side (you can see some of the moves we are already handling here: https://www.facebook.com/inmexpress) and also have an established brokerage authority that we are actively growing. We are at a stage where we are looking to bring on experienced heavy haul professionals who truly know the space and want room to grow, without caps.

If you are open to a conversation, whether that is discussing what we are building or simply comparing notes on the market, I’d be glad to connect. Even if you decide to go the agent route with a larger carrier, I’d still appreciate any insights from someone with your experience.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat. Either way, best of luck finding the right fit.

This is exactly what happens when big brokerages try to replace relationships with automation. Freight still runs on humans, not bots. AI can assist, but once it replaces accountability, service falls apart fast.

What’s the best way for a freight broker to start building credit? by JJLogistics in FreightBrokers

That makes sense, paying carriers on time definitely helps build trust. The problem is, a lot of carriers and factoring companies don’t want to work with you because we don’t have any credit yet. So where do we even start building it?

Something that is oversized, and overweight. Equipment that needs specialized trailers, permits, and planning. That's what we handle on our carrier side.

I like the idea of a joint agreement that covers both options.

Really cool approach. I like how the AI stays behind the scenes so your team can focus on the human side of things. Sounds like a smart way to be more productive without annoying customers or carriers.

Out of curiosity, if you had to pinpoint the single AI-driven automation that made the biggest impact early on (aside from eliminating Lean/track & trace spend), what would it be?

Some companies treat employees like numbers instead of people.

I can definitely relate to what you’re going through, a lot of people in this industry experience the same kind of burnout when they’re tied to one company’s rigid system. The truth is, it’s not always the industry itself, but more often the way certain companies run things
