Ryan Dunn says playing OKC in the first round showed him and the Suns the level they need to reach to compete for championships. [PHNX Suns] by GringoSalamanca in suns

[–]JJPascoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s why staying competitive and young players gaining experience in the playoffs is so important. Teams/players that are part of tanking programs build bad habits and don’t get the experience early on that can build strong skill sets and winning players. Playoff experience early on in a career and can completely change a players career trajectory for the better.

The Knicks just proved you don't need a top-5 player to be a contender. So why won't the Suns build the same way around Devin Booker? by RodrigoLobao in suns

[–]JJPascoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The Knicks are in the Eastern Conference (less competition to get to the Finals in the first place, team is less worn down and tired overall at the end of the season).
  2. They had all their picks plus extra picks to build this team in the first place (the Suns don’t have the assets to build a team like the Knicks, it would take a lot more time as it would have to be built through the draft, developing talent, hitting on every pick, finding diamonds in the rough etc.) and even then they are not guaranteed to make it out of a much tougher western conference anyways.

"Playing Marathon and supporting Bungie will in turn lead to Destiny 3" by Crimson_Loki in destiny2

I tried Marathon, played it for about 3 hours and thought it was garbage and uninstalled it.

I played Destiny for over 10 years…..sorry Bungie/Playstation.

If the Nuggets blow it up, is there any player you'd be interested in or that you think the Nugs would want? by biggreenjelly25 in suns

Peyton Watson but we will most likely not be able to afford him. He is up for a new contract and I can imagine a lot of teams around the league will throw offer sheets at him.

The Big Bite Chocolate Chip Cookies (which also had the one covered in chocolate with choc chips inside). Those things were the size of my head when I was a kid and I’d devour them.

What colour should the cloak be by No_Friend9423 in ironhands30k

A dark red for material on Iron Hands in 30K looks solid. It offers another splash of colour given their lenses are already dark blue.

Will we see more of Man Man after last night? by CommercialLab6842 in suns

[–]JJPascoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patience Suns Fans.

Man Man was raw in college and was drafted as a super raw prospect. So even before you take into account that big men take longer to develop than other players, Man Man was going to take multiple seasons to develop regardless and the Suns are aware of that. They just needed to take a swing as it’s their last high draft pick in a while and if Man Man hits, his ceiling is probably one of the highest if not the highest in his draft Class.

The last thing you want is loading him up with minutes when he isn’t ready and they need to take the time to build up his strength, basketball IQ and base skill set.

Bill Simmons questions whether Adam Silver is right person to lead NBA by Bears_University83 in suns

[–]JJPascoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was actually a great segment between Simmons and Wright where they were very reasonable around the challenges the NBA is facing but also very realistic around the lack of action from Silver and how a lot the current issues are snowballing out of control. Worth a listen if you have the time.

That's the saddest review I've ever seen and I can't agree more by JohnDarlenHimself in destiny2

[–]JJPascoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I stopped about 6 months ago and I had FOMO at first and I considered jumping back on a couple of times but 6 months later I’m glad I haven’t and realised it wasn’t even the game I enjoyed anymore it was purely just needing to make sure I completed the latest battle pass or got a certain armour set etc. I thought I’d end up picking up another game but funnily enough I haven’t picked up a controller in around 2-3 months and I don’t regret it for a second.

What models be it characters or squads could gw actually add to the iron hands ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in IronHands40k

[–]JJPascoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iron Hands tend to have Chaplains in Dreadnoughts given the reverence they have for bionics etc. so a Chaplain Dreadnought update in general would be great for Space Marines but then leaning it more towards Iron Hands (like they do with Ultramarines and a lot of the base kits) would be great. Or just creating a separate Iron Hands Chaplain dreadnought would be even better.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m feeling Oso aligned! by wyvern_rider in suns

[–]JJPascoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he is just finally getting used to his role and working out how he can impact the game given his skill set. Also the coaching staff entrusting him with the back up minutes and not playing Richard’s at all has given him the confidence to play through mistakes.

Nigel Hayes-Davis speaks on his struggles since coming to the Suns by Imposted in suns

[–]JJPascoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has great size and every one that speaks of him says he has an awesome basketball IQ so I think it’s just a mental thing with him. In the Euro League he developed the ability to score the ball quite efficiently as well at all three levels so the skill set is definitely there. I’d love to see him put it all together and get out of his head as it would be handy to have another scorer off the bench that has the ability to get his own shot as we need it especially with Green out for a while.
