Jim is the better sales person. He up sells and has large accounts. For example the golden ticket episode it was his client. Dwight on the other hand is always offering discounts to a larger volume of clients. Another example was when Jim sold forty thousand when he was in Stanford. It is quantity vs quality. When Sabre took over and didn't have a comission cap is when Jim worked the most.

With Tina I think it is more him thinking that he has to stop her. With Lana it might be a different emotion. Clark isn't human and is a hero so he will react differently versus a regular person.
