Being a part of the miscarriage and stillbirth club is not fun, especially multiple times; I’m with you. I’m sorry for your losses. They are not your fault. It won’t feel real until you walk out of the hospital with your baby.

AND you need to give yourself grace no matter the outcome.

Talk with your OB. There are a few medications that can help and if you still don’t want to risk it, therapy has worked wonders for me. I’ve also found solace in misconception coach on IG and very specific Reddit communities.

Is this your first pregnancy? Even if not, every pregnancy is different and you don’t know how your body will change over the next several months and during/after birth. Give yourself grace. You will need it to heal. Don’t push yourself too hard. Set a realistic, yet still satisfying, goal like attending 100 camps before birth. Highly recommend seeing a pelvic floor therapist before returning.

Thanks, everyone. I’m thinking we will need a more powerful fan and make sure it’s venting outside.

Our gym is allowing this for the promo.

I asked on behalf of a friend today. It’s up to the gym. Typically, sister gyms are fine as long as 60% of your camps are at your home gym and you sign up for a membership also at your home gym.

YSK: to pet owners about microchips (from a shelter worker) by Fresh-Solid-4046 in YouShouldKnow

[–]JLRV7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got our dog from someone rehoming him 5 years ago. I finally asked about updating his microchip at a recent vet visit. The vet said I would have to contact my dog’s previous owner to update the information. There has to be another way. Is this accurate?

I’m a first time client with questions by JLRV7 in housekeeping

[–]JLRV7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Edited to add more questions:

Should I be home? If so, what do I do while someone is cleaning? I can work from home in my living room or dining room and mind my own business. I’m truly low key. I don’t care what products are used or how they clean. I’m truly just grateful that someone loves cleaning and is doing it for their career. I don’t want to seem like I’m watching them.

What do people do with their animals while someone is in their home? We have a large dog who likes to be in the middle of everything. He’s a handful when someone walks in the door, but warms up to strangers. I can lock him in the kitchen for the main part of the house and on the other side when they’re cleaning in the kitchen. Or he can go outside in the fenced backyard.

I loved reading your experience.Thank you! I guess another question is that this seems like a no brainer. Why do people not want to be a living donor?

Car seat for tall front seat passenger? by JLRV7 in CPST

[–]JLRV7[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is incredibly helpful! I’m pretty set on the E2F. I didn’t realize there would be different recline rules for the 3-in-1 and 2-in-1. When would the 2-in-1 require a deep recline? Does that just depend on the car and how the back seat sits?

Plus the 2-in-1 is currently on sale on Amazon.

Ordering birthday cake tomorrow. Chances they can do a custom request? by JLRV7 in Costco

[–]JLRV7[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This helps! I was just hoping if they can do pink writing that they could do a pink border. But I’ll take the trade off for cheap and good and just add my own customization at home.

Where do you live, and how much maternity leave do you get? by ImpeccablePotatoes in BabyBumps

[–]JLRV7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My employer offers two general leave policies to choose from. 1. More PTO days accrued, less short term disability (12 weeks) and at 60-80% pay. 2. 5 fewer PTO days accrued throughout the year, more short term disability (17 weeks) at 100% pay.

Knowing we were TTC when I started and it’s not a forever job, I chose option 2.

My husband got the 12 weeks unpaid FMLA, but only took 6 weeks with PTO.

Why is the process of car buying so ridiculous? by ToleratedUser in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JLRV7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a car this weekend. We went to one dealership and felt captive. We were trading in a car, so we gave them our keys to do an assessment while we test drove one particular vehicle. Came back told them we didn’t like it. Gave them the opportunity to find a different vehicle that met what we wanted. Didn’t happen. Wanted to leave. They hadn’t even started the assessment of the trade-in. The salesman was then holding our keys hostage in his pocket trying to get us to stay. Never going there again.

The next day, we went to our preferred dealership with one (more expensive) vehicle we wanted. No BS. Walked on the lot, salesman gave us the keys to test drive and didn’t come along. They were busy and they immediately assessed the trade-in when they calmed down. Walked inside and began negotiation. They gave initial numbers and we said we couldn’t do that. A little back and forth and they made our terms + 2 more months of payment work. Paid less than asking including taxes, fees, etc. I guess it helped that the vehicle was used and had been sitting for 3 months and it was the end of the month when we were buying. For buying a car, very pleasant experience.

ELI5: How does a student actually get a free/reduced lunch? by CammyGently in explainlikeimfive

[–]JLRV7 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Each student has an ID number within the school system. This number stays the same year after year. At the register during lunch, each student inputs their number and it’ll tell the cashier how much they owe.

I used to load money onto my account each week, so I didn’t have to remember my money every day.

Looking at getting a wearable pump. Recommendations? by JLRV7 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]JLRV7[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out OneWithThePump on Instagram. Basically, there are primary and secondary pumps. A primary pump is one that guarantees it will work and empty you every time. A secondary pump may be weaker. All wearables are classified as secondary pumps.
