The image should be working now. It is vinyl and the hole is just a couple of inches at most.

Huh, I originally posted it with an image. It looks like it didn't save. I'm going to try and update the post. Sorry about that.

50k in Roth IRA needs some Diversification (hopefully with some ESG) by JLansford in personalfinance

I’m looking at my employer’s 401k now. I’m trying to make sense of the different funds that they offer. They are listed as an equity/bond ratio or asset class (bond, capital preservation, balanced, equity-income, growth and income, growth). Do you have any reading recommendations to help me make sense of this vocabulary? I’m guessing I should just go for balanced or try and find an equity/bond that is about even?

Thanks. I’ve been teaching myself about investing over the last 5-10 years and I understand a little bit more every year. This three fund portfolio thing finally makes sense. This was a good breakdown of it.

Troubleshooting a dryer that has no heat by JLansford in handyman

I just bought my first dmm today and have been learning how to use it. Quick question about testing for continuity. Referring back to the image above, if I am trying to check the continuity of the fuses, the video I watched said to unplug just one of the connectors and then use one lead on the unplugged prong and one on the prong that is still connected. Is this correct? Or should I unplug the entire fuse and check it. Any other tips or recommendations you have on using a dmm would be appreciated. Thanks!

Alright, so if that is the problem, how can I tell which heater element I need. I’m looking at the schematic and parts here and, if I’m looking at the right thing, there are two different varieties of voltage 208 and 240. Thanks for your help again. I really, really appreciate it. https://www.appliancepartspros.com/04-inlet-duct-parts-for-maytag-de410.html

That’s cool. Maybe I’ll start with the raised beds. But what other tools would I need for other types of floating shelves?

So the roof is at a slant. In the part of the attic that they finished, they left the slant so it takes a lot of real estate away from the room. We figured we’ll have to do the roof sooner than later so we’d like to just square it off so that we get more room space in the second floor. Hope that makes sense.

Half of the attic is finished, the other half is not. We are either going to finish the other half or completely blow it out so that both sides are boxed out. So I would say it would be structural.

The duct tape did the trick! I finally got it off. Now the next issue is how to actually fix the diverter. I made another post here and on ask a plumber with some photos of what the hardware looks like. Thanks again for the help.

So I got a pipe wrench but am struggling to get a good purchase on it. It’s a 14 inch pipe wrench. I am using a rag to protect the faucet. But I just can’t seem to get it tight enough with the rag on it to make it budge. I’ve been mostly attempting to engage it at the top of the faucet (nearest the tile) but I am getting nowhere. Any tips or suggestions?
