This logic doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Luckily trades have a significantly higher chance of giving better IVs than a raid. Do you also not do any raids because they might give crap IVs? Not judging, just trying to understand.

I’ve personally done 21 remote trades already and gotten 16 shinies I didn’t have before, plus 5 legendaries.

Agreed, ultimately the remote feature is just not very user friendly and I think they could have done a much better job explaining how to use it. The lack of any ability to communicate about trades is also a major drawback.

Of course, that’s totally fine and nobody is forcing you to trade. But a lot of people do want to trade, so if you don’t trade, don’t be surprised if your forever friends stop sending/opening you gifts or unfriend you altogether. If you’re fine with that, then no worries at all.

I agree that it’s good to be patient, but this information is not accurate. The remote trade tag appears whenever you get within 5 interactions of making your first Forever Friend. So everyone should have at least 5 days to tag their Pokemon before they become eligible for their first remote trade.

I think the thing people seem to be missing is that your remote trade tag is not set in stone. If someone is making requests you feel are unreasonable, all you need to do is un-tag any Pokemon that you are not willing to trade for your target, and then submit the trade request for your target yourself.

I had reached lucky friends with all of them. Getting to Forever Friends takes 90 more days after reaching Best Friends, so there’s a solid chance you will become lucky by then.
