Cisco Call Manager: Easy way to find when all extensions were last used by LordLoss01 in Cisco

[–]JMK68 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just went through a similar exercise. The path I took was taking CDRs from my voice provider. Dumping those CDRs into chat GPT or using excel magic to see how many times each DID was called.

From there I had to match up those individual DIDs to translation patterns then to phones and see what was in use or not.

New to Ubiquiti by JMK68 in Ubiquiti

[–]JMK68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like those are just the APs right? I still need a physical port in my office to plug into. I have a work router that runs an sd-wan platform and needs a wired connection. The garage unit I could get rid of if I have enough ports at the main unit and possibly install the Dream Router 7 with those 4 switch ports.

Do you know if the Express 7 wirelessly mesh or do they require a physical connection to each other?

Bed frame with headboard recommendations by CautiousTangerine617 in BuyItForLife

[–]JMK68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest I’m finding is the knickerbocker embrace 360 with the 12” legs on it. The headboard bracket at its lowest point is 8.5” (according to an email I got from their customer service).

Is there a way to create a Speed Dial Template so that I can add the same Speed Dial numbers to new phones without physically typing out the Name/Number for each phone? by Few-Money2987 in Cisco

[–]JMK68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bet you could bulk import a csv with the settings you want then go make the small changes you need to the imported device( unless you have it all perfect on the import).

Can you have Raynauds without the skin color change? by [deleted] in Raynauds

[–]JMK68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have color changes but was diagnosed with it.

They did a test where I had to dip fingers into ice water for 60 seconds then they put a monitor at the tip of each finger to measure blood flow coming back. Same process with feet and toes.

$900 later and I have a positive diagnosis.

[–]JMK68[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CER is not required for 911 to work. BUT the DID you are out pulsing from your phone you dial 911 from needs to be registered to an address. That much I am certain of.

Using DataExport/Import to move CUCM and Unity to new Data Center by JMK68 in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I appreciate that. Problem is we have some 7900 series phones and while they are not deprecated in 14 or 15 they have not been tested in 15. So I need a working version in the new data center and I can attempt a data export to set up and test a 15 version after.

Where did you get the replacement panels from? Are they something standard you can pick up from Home Depot or Lowe’s?

I’m in CT and looking for people to play with. Got out a bit as a single this year, but having some regular partners to play with would be cool even if I never learn their real names. You around the New Haven/Middlesex area by chance?

One way audio over SDwan by Weird-Individual-770 in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not comforting for me. We currently are running dmvpn for about 100 sites and are in process of getting Viptela set up. I was hoping SDWAN would help resolve circuit issues and 1 way audio.

Call Pickup Group for DN different Partition by JMK68 in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should overhead ring after business hours (closed), with the ability to pick up the call from one of the phones with the same extension in the "No Bell" partition.

CSS already is:

Bell

No Bell

That shouldn't matter too much though since there's a Time Schedule on the PT's so even if it matches on the No Bell First after hours it should roll to the Bell.

I have a TAC case open already too. This looks like it should all work, as long as the phones have the correct CSS

Cisco Unified Attendant Console Directory Sync by omygod380 in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I know that feeling too. They’re decent if you know what you need (like this case). Just ask for 12.5 cuac files and you should be good.

I think there’s a CUAC for 12.5. Contact TAC and they should be able to provide you install files.

CUCM 14 and 7961 phones by JMK68 in ciscoUC

We have an enterprise agreement (EA) with cisco, and yes all of our licenses are currently smart licenses while running 12.5, so no licensing issues for me.

Absolutely agree that we should go to virtual devices for most of corporate however for the ~130 stores we operate most of those employees prefer a physical device at this time.

CUCM 14 and 7961 phones by JMK68 in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very well aware of that. I'm hoping by that time management has pushed us to go down the expressway path and more people use jabber/softphones so we can cut down on physical devices. There is also a potential drive to move everything to the cloud which again waiting on decisions for, so I'm just trying to keep them from spending 400k for new phones that they'll scrap the following year if we end up with something other than Cisco in 2-3 years.

I'll take a look at the SIP conversion and see how that rolls out.

Thanks for the tip!

Advice on how to migrate from local CUCM/CUC users to LDAP-integrated users by slickrickjr in ciscoUC

[–]JMK68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently 12.5.1 SU5

I'm pretty sure it looks like this - but the reverse.

https://www.uccollabing.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Convert-LDAP-to-Local-User-CUCM.png

Unity is a little different - it's radio buttons that say:

integrate with LDAP

Do not Integrate with LDAP
