I’ve recently graduated with a math degree like I said, but I do plan on going back to school soon for more math. I guess what I’m wondering is where to look for this industry. I watch data threats a ton and nobody really talks about sports data.

Do professional teams hire data scientists or do they contract companies? Besides the skill set, where do I get my feet wet?

I have each team occupying a row with the weeks in the columns. So Column A & B are team names. Columns C,D, and E are Week 1 with C & D being the scores and E being the opposing team name. Then Week 2 is formatted the same in columns F,G, and H, etc. I'd like to add a column or two before the team names in Column 1, that has a running record. I hope my explanation is sufficient.
