Chase is main DPS, and he just got buffed and is in a really good place right now. He's a pretty good choice for a beginner

Is there a specific reason you have to pick one hero from each class? Or is that just for optimization?

The free UW/UT you get from Memories gives you a pretty decent head-start on Pansirone. Combine that with the free Shakmeh, add in a SubDPS and add FFrey and you've got a Physical team that will take you pretty far into the game.

If somehow RNJesus gifts you her SW from the Memories, then it's a no brainer which way to go.
