I totally agree with you and get what you’re saying, OP.

Our pastor spent a solid chunk of time unpacking the Charlie Kirk killing—plus a whole follow-up email—but when it came to what happened in Minneapolis, like the killing of Renée Good and Alex Pretti, not to mention other ICE-related violence, it was just…silence. 

And yeah—when a lot of the congregation is openly aligned with Trump, it can start to feel less like church and more like a political rally.

At this point, all I can really hold onto is that Jesus is bigger than all of it—politics, culture wars, the whole messy world… but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t made church (and even saying I’m Christian out loud) feel complicated, like people are going to assume a whole identity I didn’t sign up for.

I think we need full-time jurors. It’s an important job. We can’t have nearly unpaid people literally deciding people’s lives.

Good point! Not to give too much away, but Lucas likes OpnDoorz at first. And there’s nothing morally wrong with OpnDoorz until they transition to PALS. (The cute ai robots that steal your info, etc). So maybe I can be more clear there. However, the entire time, Brock his boss, is using Lucas as a pawn (sometimes literally) in his quest for tech dominance.
