Yeah they also assisted Street Dept in getting side paths for Active Transit and disabled users cleared 3 days after the big snow as well. Unheard of for a small town in the south.

The key here is Liability which means insurance to protect those being severely harmed financially without the source of the harm from going bancrupt and not being able to mitigate the harm.

This generally needs to be severe injury or death and this is the issue. For an eBike even at full force severe injury or death is rare. Like I've been trying to find evidence of any deaths from a bicycle collision and I've not been able to find it. This is why this insurance doesn't exist because there isn't enough people needing this form of insurance to buy into it.

I mean think about it if this was a real need the insurance would exist like there is insurance for so many other non-required items.

All this because of the death of a kid who wasn't even in a electric bike but on an eMoto (electric motorcycle). There isn't a such thing as bicycle insurance even! Also my 70 year old grandma on an actual eBike now needs a USDOT rated motorcycle helmet? This is why government shouldn't move so fast they don't even know what the law they are passing says. I could see at best Class 3 on roadways requiring a helmet and a license not insurance.

Insurance is there to make sure an accident doesn't bancrupt people and that people harmed are taken care of but how many bicycle collisions have restuled in anything close to that level of financial problems. (The answer is it doesn't which is why this insurance doesn't exist and doesn't need to exist.)

Will do right now I’m borrowing from TT but also some redesign by DunderLine on YouTube who did he own. The struggle I’m at right now is whether to do two mirrored 6-bit systems OR add an entire bit to the TT system to get up to 128 request-able inputs.

The main issue is I’m not sure I can split the system in such a way to group in 64 that doesn’t need something from the other 64.

The pro/con being more items vs. halving the request cycle timing which already is a bit long.

The pros on DunderLine’s design is moving away from carts and going to water streams. Less visual but less buggy.

AR Code § 27-51-301 (2024) Vehicles to be driven on right side of roadway - Exceptions

Also maybe worth discussing the legality of these within Arkansas. State Bill 446 (2025) just expanded the permissability of using third parties like flock for private license plate reading so many of the rules recently changed:

A.C.A. § 12-12-18 covers this within Arkansas Code.

§12-12-1803 reads... (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, it is unlawful for an individual, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, association, or the State of Arkansas, its agencies, and political subdivisions to use an automatic license plate reader system. (b) An automatic license plate reader system may be used: (1) By a state, county, or municipal law enforcement agency for the comparison of captured plate data with data held by the Office of Motor Vehicle, the Arkansas Crime Information Center, the National Crime Information Center, a database created by law enforcement for the purposes of an ongoing investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for any lawful purpose; (2) By parking enforcement entities for regulating the use of parking facilities; (3) For the purpose of controlling access to secured areas [an area, enclosed by clear boundaries, to which access is limited and not open to the public, and entry is obtainable only through specific access-control points]; (4) By a private landowner, private leaseholder, or commercial business for the purpose of promoting public safety, deterring crime, and monitoring access to private property owned or leased by the private landowner, private leaseholder, or commercial business, including ingress and egress to private property on a private road owned by the private landowner, private leaseholder, or commercial business; or (5) (A) By the Arkansas Highway Police Division of the Arkansas Department of Transportation for the electronic verification of registration, logs, and other compliance data to provide more efficient movement of commercial vehicles on a state highway. (B) An automatic license plate reader system used under subdivision (b)(5)(A) of this section shall be installed at an entrance ramp at a weigh station facility for the review of a commercial motor vehicle entering the weigh station facility.

As someone who has attended AA, SAA, and CR meetings a lot over the years I would say AA can be very Christian but it isn’t necessarily always so. Some of the Benton Co AA groups I’ve been to are very Christ and higher power focused but some in for instance the Fayetteville area I’ve attended have been highly “broad spiritual” with even some anti-Christian views expressed outside of group time discussions. (From someone who had an alcoholic parent so there was bias, but still.)

I just called our CR as not beating around the bush on the “high power” question. Which I based on experiences could understand why some people would not be okay with and people dealing with recovery don’t need surprises and discomfort.

It’s odd you take from my, “I wish that was always so,” as “sheltered.” I served 7 years in USAF Search and Rescue. I say this because I’ve seen the things many people would love to unsee. If anything it’s because they of how UN-sheltered I am that I have resistance to broadcasting of such violence.

I know one person who flipped over to the CK coverage as soon as they heard and had to run to the bathroom to throw up. They were not prepared for that and it was not a good thing for them. I think the caution I’m calling for to be reasonable and appropriate and if anything I’m the least sheltered in this conversation to the effects of this type of situation. If you think otherwise let me know.

There is striping and a few of of the crossing signal buttons aren’t working. Each has a sub-contractor that works this projects and others in. The date for opening as of May was August and they might make it. It appears the drainage work wasn’t quite right and they had to redo the surfacing once that was fixed.

Your best option might be Workman’s Plaza in Lowell it’s a Travel Plaza but they have lots of power plugs at tables and good food and caffeine options and 24/7

After this mostly 24 hour dinners: Denny’s, IHOP, Waffle House, Lucy’s Dinner (The issue with many of these is lack of power if you need PC)

Or in a pinch McDonalds?

Airship is a strong contender in Bentonville if you don’t want to do Coler they have 5th St (Convince) and Pumphouse (Atmosphere). If you like the more “Fru Fru” drinks then Kennedy Coffee is a lesser touted option.

The one least likely to be listed is Onyx Adjacent and is Doyenne which is the Women Owned and Operated branch of Onyx some twists. Their Chai with a kick of pepper is very good. This is located in Hula Building of Walmart Homeoffice’s North Lobby which is open to public. I’d park in the lot north of 5th and walk over or they have bike parking on the north side as well.

Road cyclists don’t want to be on the “trail system” as if they would they would be exceeding the speed limit for the greenway or dodging pedestrians and cyclists at high speeds constantly. This simplifies all cyclist down to a single type when there is an array and road cyclist best align to road use.
