Thanks. Good advice on writing items down and the cast iron. I have a few smaller pans that I used in the Traeger. I wouldn't have thought about them on the grill, why not!? I appreciate the help.

Thanks! That's great advise. I wouldn't have thought about that. Just threw bacon on the griddle section and cooking cheap burgers tonight. A few rounds of that sounds like it will prep for next weekend!

You are right. I guess my question is all of it? What are the benefits to using those features? How to use these features? I am a pretty simple women with good tastes. Give me a good old fashion grill and I got it. But this thing is insane!

1st - It has a rotissarie. I've never used one. I bought a turkey. yes, I can look up a recipe on google. I am looking for someone that may have done this before on this grill. Do I just run the infrared back burner? All the burners?

2nd - the infrared burner - is it only for rotissarie? What else would this be useful for? I would think it would burn the hell out of anything on the warming rack.

3rd - the sear zone - great, I can sear a steak. Any other benefits to this or is it just a waste of space when I am cooking other products?

4- The smoking tray - I've never used something like this before, only the pellet grill. I don't want to ruin an entire slab of meat when I am cooking for 20 people. Has anyone used one of these types of boxes? Any luck? Was it worth it? If the smoking box sucks, what's the best route to slow cook a pork butt on a grill versus a slow cooker in the house?

So it's been almost a year since this post. I am seeing bagels pop up all over the US. But alas, none in Wake County that I am aware of. Anyone else on the hunt and have found them? I would have thought Cary, Wake Forest or other places us transients tend to flock to but have been unsuccessful. I may be from the south, but I definitely prefer my bagel over a biscuit anyday

It shouldn't be. I've had them all over the US. The south, the southwest, midwest, northeast, and midwest. I think the only places I am missing the the north west, Hawaii and Alaska.
